SUMMARY:The New Normal – Collecting Covid
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE THIS EXHIBITION IS CURRENTLY CLOSED & WILL REOPEN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER LOCKDOWN 2. \nThere isn’t a single aspect of life that hasn’t been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. This special exhibition brings together objects\, images and artworks donated to the museum by local businesses and the community to represent this important period in Chippenham’s history. \nChippenham Museum is free to visit\, with opportunity to drop-in between 10am and 1pm or book an hour’s sole use of the museum between 1pm and 4pm. For more details or to book visit www.chippenham.gov.uk/chippenham-museum or call 01249 705020. \nFrom half term until the end of the exhibition the museum is offering family friendly fun with Covid secure activity packs which can be used to explore the museum’s two floors of galleries. \nChippenham Museum\, a Chippenham Town Council facility\, is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm with level access throughout.

SUMMARY:FOQC Half term Pumpkin Trail
DESCRIPTION:Friends of Queen Crescent school (FOQC) and Co-op are very excited to be running our second Pumpkin Trail around the local estate this half term. We will be hiding pumpkins around the estate between the 23rd and 30th October.  The theme this year is Video Games and each pumpkin will also contain a letter for an anagram on the same theme. \nWe suggest a minimum donation of £2 per family and the map will be available digitally from the 22nd October either on our FOQC Facebook page or get in contact at our competitions email address. All correct answers emailed to us will go in a draw with the chance to win one of the sweetie hamper prizes kindly donated by Bonnie’s Sweet Shop. \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\nWinners will be drawn at random from all correct entries on 3rd November. Winners will be notified that week and posted on our Facebook page. \nWe really hope you will enjoy this event. Please be considerate of the local community whilst doing the trail. Lots of pumpkins go to landfill every year so FOQC are encouraging all our pumpkin trail volunteers to go eco friendly and use their pumpkins to feed themselves or the wildlife. You may also see alternatives around the trail made of cardboard or papier-mâché.

DESCRIPTION:Paddington arrives in London is a live performance coming to Chippenham this half term. Suitable for ages 1-7\, this delightful tale sees Paddington arrive\, meet the Brown’s and experience his first concert. The performance features a piano and a narrator. \nThere are 5 x 25 minute performances taking place on Monday 26th October* in at St Alfred’s Hall in Chippenham. Book to attend at 10am\, 11.15am\, 12.30pm\, 2pm or 3pm. Tickets are free but donations very much appreciated! You MUST book your tickets in advance. There are no tickets available on the door. \nMusic for Miniatures are delighted to be able to offer our amazing live music in a relaxed atmosphere again for you and your little ones. DESCRIPTION:  \nAutism specialist\, Helen Eaton is running a series of Autism workshops this Autumn. \nThe first of these is Autism Explained for children & teens.  This workshop is designed for families to explore Autism together in an accessible\, gentle and enjoyable way (aged 8+). \nIt’s a free workshop that will take place on Zoom at 1pm on the 26th October. Please note booking is essential and places can be booked here. \nHelen has over 20 years’ experience as a trainer\, working with leading UK companies delivering communication\, behavioural and leadership training. After gaining a post-graduate qualification in education\, she began to specialise in autism. She has now delivered over 300 autism workshops and online training sessions across the UK.
