SUMMARY:Loose Threads: The Don Little Collection X Bath Textile Artists
DESCRIPTION:Now available to visit online! A celebration of the heritage of Chippenham and the surrounding area\, Loose Threads is a collaborative exhibition between Chippenham Museum and Bath Textile Artists. \nThe exhibition centres on the Don Little Collection. Donald Little lived in Chippenham his entire life and bequeathed to Chippenham Museum his vast collection of postcards\, photographs and ephemera relating to the town. Alongside the collection will be works especially created by the Bath Textile Artists in response to different parts of the collection as diverse as Goss crested china\, World War One postcards and Don’s personal family photographs. View the exhibition on Chippenham Museum’s website here. \nChippenham Museum has launched two online talks and a February half term activity linked to the exhibition – all free to enjoy from home until the museum can re-open again. \nChippenham Museum is a Chippenham Town Council facility. When back open\, the museum is free entry with two floors of galleries and level access throughout. SUMMARY:Colour Photography Workshop with The Photo Club
DESCRIPTION:The colour photography workshop is for young people aged 7-19 years old. This workshop is funded by Chippenham Borough Lands Charity as part of the Fringe Feb Festival. \nThe workshop will focus on how colour plays such an important role in photography\, you will learn how to capture colour in creative ways. Don’t be put off by the age gap\, tasks and challenges are adjusted depending on age and skill level.  You don’t need a fancy camera for this workshop\, anything that has the ability to take a photograph will work great. Eg: Phone\, Tablet\, compact camera\, SLR. During this workshop\, you will take part in interactive games and challenges. \nThe workshop is split up into 3 parts. Part 1: introduction\, game\, photography challenge and task explained. Part 2: complete the challenge in your home. SUMMARY:The Corona Monologues - Radio pieces
DESCRIPTION:Sit back\, grab a cuppa and listen to seven monologues set during lockdown\, performed by Rag and Bone Arts CIC’s adult drama group. \nWe have produced seven very different short pieces\, all around 6-7 minutes long. Listen to them one at a time\, or take the whole hour to indulge and work out if there is any link between the characters. \nThe Corona Monologues were first performed by the group in December over Zoom\, none of them had heard one another’s pieces until the night – when their characters were revealed to each other. Now re-recorded with the benefit of that information\, we are bringing them to your home. \nThe pieces dip in to the strange times we are living in and reflect a breadth of different struggles.
