SUMMARY:Save Chippenham Art Auction.
DESCRIPTION:Come and join us on Sunday 19th December\, share a glass of wine\, maybe make a bid and help raise funds for The Campaign against Urban Sprawl to the South of Chippenham. The Save Chippenham Art Auction has more than 100 fantastic lots –  from textiles\, art\, photographs\, yarn art\, jewellery\, ceramics\, prints and paintings in a range of media. Purchase Beautiful Gifts for Christmas whilst Saving our Countryside.  \n\nThe auction will include a wide range of artworks all of which have been kindly donated by local artists. All proceeds will go to saving Chippenham from excessive development on green fields and thereby help to save the planet. \n\n\nWhen? \n\n\nThe auction event will be held from 11.30am – 6pm\nViewing begins at 11.30am\nPlease join us for a festive glass of wine and nibbles between 11.30 – 3pm during the viewing. Non-alcoholic drinks will also be available.There will be the opportunity to make a £2 donation upon arrival.\nWelcome and Opening Words at 3.15pm\nThe auction begins at 3.30pm\nClosing Address and Words of Thanks at 4.30pm (approximately)\n\n\n\nCatalogue \n\n\n\nThe catalogue will be available online from 10th December. Visit the Save Chippenham Art Auction Facebook page for more information.\nA printed catalogue will be available to buy for £2 from 11.30am on Sunday\, 19th December.\n\n\n\nRaffle \nFour works will be raffled on the 19th December\, independently of the auction process. \n\n\nMaking a bid \n\nPlease read the information below carefully as this will guide you through the process of viewing the artworks\, making a bid\, and settling the fee. \n\n\n\nVIEWING \n\nViewing is from 11.30am – 3pm on 19th December.\n\n\n\n\nBIDDING\n\nIf you plan to bid in person\, you will be asked to complete a bidding form\, available from the tellers on the day. You will receive a numbered paddle in exchange.\n\n\n\n\nTELEPHONE BIDS\n\nIf you wish to bid by telephone on 19th December\, please email savechippenhamartauction@btinternet.com by 17th December.\n\n\n\n\nCOMMISSION BIDS\n\nIf you wish to leave a commission bid before 19th December\, please email savechippenhamartauction@btinternet.com\nIf you wish to leave a commission bid on 19th December\, please obtain a commission bid form from a teller. Please complete the commission bid form by 2pm.\n\n\n\nAUCTION PROCESS\n\nWhen bidding in the room\, please identify yourself using your paddle.\nMost lots will have guide prices. The auctioneer will exercise discretion regarding minimum bids.\nWe request buyers to pay for their purchases on 19th December. Methods of payment will be as follows: cash\, cheque\, card reader or a direct pledge to the Crowd Justice site.\n\n\n\nAUCTION (3.30pm)\n\nPorters will bring each lot from the viewing room and hold it up during the bidding process\, before taking it back to the viewing room.\nTellers will be ready to take payments as soon as they receive the first completed clerk sheet from the auctioneer.\nPlease collect your purchase(s) from the viewing room by showing a porter your receipted payment form.\nPlease exit the viewing room as soon as you have collected your purchase(s).\n\nPractical Information \nIn line with COVID regulations\, we will be asking visitors to wear a face mask whilst at The Cause and to sanitise their hands upon arrival. We will do everything we can to ensure social distancing during the course of the event. Thank you for your understanding.
