DESCRIPTION:Hail The Curious is the inaugural group exhibition from The Forbidden Carnival Gallery. \nIt brings a diverse group of local\, national\, international and overseas artists together\, from Lowbrow to Street to Dark to Surreal and back again. \nArtists include: \nSimon Griffiths\, Miller\,  Rae Melody\, Sarah Christie\, BRT Street Pop Art\, Matt Lodge \, Montague Tott\,  David Nicholls and more… \nExhibition running between 5th May – 30th June 2023. Open Saturdays and Sundays 10am-3pm. DESCRIPTION:Explore what life was like in Chippenham in the 1920s & 30s\, as objects\, costume\, photographs & artworks bring the era to life. \nMarking the centenary of the opening of John Coles Park in 1923\, this exhibition explores the glamour of the cinema and fashions from the period\, as well as strikes\, protests and the legacy and threat of war. \nTo accompany the exhibition\, there will be a programme of talks and events. More information can be found on the ‘What’s On’ page of our website. \nChippenham Museum\, a Chippenham Town Council facility\, is free entry\, open Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm\, including bank holidays.

SUMMARY:Visual-Impaired Climbing Event - The Climbing Academy - The Arc
DESCRIPTION:Bath University is looking for young people (16-24 years) with vision impairment. They are running a free climbing event at The Arc on 9 June and are looking for participants. This is part of a project where visually impaired young people will co-design research to help identify the barriers and enablers for participation. \nThere are 12 climbing spaces available for those aged 16-24 years who live in the UK. No experience is required. On the day\, you may choose not to climb. You may also come just for a chat to find out more about this event and others being run by the University researchers. Organisers can cover your travel expenses that do not exceed £100. Participation in the climbing aspect of this day is not recommended for people with vertigo. You can withdraw and leave at any time.
