SUMMARY:Chippenham Between the Wars
DESCRIPTION:Explore what life was like in Chippenham in the 1920s & 30s\, as objects\, costume\, photographs & artworks bring the era to life. \nMarking the centenary of the opening of John Coles Park in 1923\, this exhibition explores the glamour of the cinema and fashions from the period\, as well as strikes\, protests and the legacy and threat of war. \nTo accompany the exhibition\, there will be a programme of talks and events. More information can be found on the ‘What’s On’ page of our website. \nChippenham Museum\, a Chippenham Town Council facility\, is free entry\, open Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm\, including bank holidays.

SUMMARY:Beyond The Streets
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday August 5th\, The Forbidden Carnival Gallery will be opening it’s doors on ‘Beyond The Streets’\, a colourful array of street\, skate and graffiti art as well as unique custom painted skate decks by local artists. \nThe opening will coincide with the one day Chippenham skate fest – Burts Fest\, organised by Burts Boards\, Chippenham. \nBeyond The Streets will run for a month and is open weekends 10 -3 or by appointment during the week. This will be a super cool show not to be missed!

DESCRIPTION:Following on from the success of last year’s events\, we’re excited to bring you two more whole day life drawing days for the summer holidays.\nFor those who have some experience or who are happy to work at their own pace\, join Charlie for an indulgent day of Life Drawing in the beautiful Cause Arts Centre\, Chippenham.\n(For the complete beginner\, we have another day at the end of the summer for you so that you can dip your toes in and see if it’s for you. This one is on Saturday 26th August 2023 but the booking form is the same one as below)\n£70 per day.
