DESCRIPTION:Island Park will be the centre of the family and community programme. There’s something for the whole family including performances from choirs\, singer-songwriters\, musicians\, bands\, drumming workshops\, dancing\, storytelling\, crafting\, puppetry\, circus skills\, face painters\, play and sensory sessions for the under 5’s and more! \nThe full family and community programme is now available on the Chippenham Folk Festival website www.chippfolk.co.uk. Free to attend but any donations welcomed. \nThere will also be music found in pubs and various other venues around the town. Check out the dance displays\, two dance stages and many dancers around the town all weekend. Don’t miss the parades on Saturday and Monday. \nFree entry to the Craft Marquee with many other traders around Island Park and the town and of course don’t miss the festival bar! \nDon’t forget you can also purchase individual Day\, Event and Concert tickets! DESCRIPTION:Across Chippenham Folk Festival weekend\, nationally – renowned youth folk arts organisation Shooting Roots are offering a series of workshops\, which are heavily discounted for local young people. \nThere are workshops in singing and theatre\, with evening folk arts activities\, and a chance to perform on the festival’s main community stage on Monday. Expect songs\, harmonies\, devising ridiculous plots\, tableaus\, games\, music\, and a chance to meet new friends. All take place at the Masonic Hall in Emery Lane\, the YOUTH HUB for the festival weekend. \nLocal (all SN postcodes\, plus BA14 and BA15) 11-17 year olds can access each Shooting Roots workshop for just £3 on the door.
