It is easy to learn to draw by copying the example of a tutor leading the group\, but this tends to produce a ‘house style’ where everyone ends up drawing in the same way. SUMMARY:Trio Paradis: A Midsummer Night’s Dream
DESCRIPTION:Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan – piano\, Ruth O’Shea – violin & Linda Stocks – cello) play a Café Concert at St Andrew’s Church on the first Tuesday of each month at 11am: informal music events with a pop-up café from 10.15 where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes. \nThe music for June’s concert is inspired by summer and dreams\, and includes an arrangement of Dream Children by Elgar\, the Allegro from ‘Jacob’s Dream’ Trio in Eb by Haydn\, and music by Mendelssohn\, Turina and Rachmaninov. \nConcerts last c45m and entrance – or rather\, exit! – is by donation\, with a retiring collection. DESCRIPTION:Love to sing? Want to make friends? Come along to Pewsham Community Centre Tuesdays between 1.30-3.30pm. Taken by the wonderful Matt Finch. It’s all about having fun and singing in the afternoon! \nMatt runs 4 popular Good Afternoon Community Choirs every week and loves the fun of singing together and making amazing music during the afternoons.  Matt lives in Bath where he is well-known as Musical Director of the Bath Light Operatic Group\, you may well have attended one of their wonderful shows at the Bath Theatre Royal in years past.  All Good Afternoon Choir members enjoy singing Matt’s very special arrangements\, especially at the Big Sings when all the Good Afternoon Choirs join together to sing in one venue. \nA warm welcome awaits any new members\, there are NO auditions and everyone is welcome!  There is no charge for attending your first rehearsal.   Come alone or with a friend – either way Matt and the Choir will be pleased to meet you.  You will be joining over 1\,000 people singing at Good Afternoon Choirs around the South West and beyond! \nMembership forms are available to collect at every rehearsal.  The choir rehearsals are in 4 terms of 10 weeks and members pay £58 per term – this covers room and piano hire\, music\, admin and musician fees.  You do not need to join at the start of a term\, you can simply come along to any rehearsal and pick up a membership form should you wish to join the choir – your fee will then be worked out for the remainder of that term. \nIf you have any questions about the Choir please contact Tracey or Karin via email gac@grenvillemusic.co.uk or tel 01761 472468. \n

We have no auditions and we always welcome new members.
