Our taster sessions are the perfect introduction – whether you’re after a one-off adventure or curious about taking it further. \nClimbing is a social\, active and creative sport that’s surprisingly easy to get into – making it a fantastic way to stay fit. These ‘have-a-go’ sessions let you try bouldering\, roped climbing and auto belays. \nBy the end of the session\, you’ll be ready to visit the centre as a boulderer and auto belay user. (Children will still need supervision).

SUMMARY:Lights Up\, Sounds Down - Quiet Opening
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a more relaxed visit at the REME Museum during this special opening outside of our regular hours. \nWe have designed these ‘Lights Up\, Sounds Down’ days to reduce sensory input for individuals who would prefer a quieter experience. These sessions are primarily for\, though not limited to\, anyone who has sensory processing disorder; autism; social\, emotional or mental health needs; dementia\, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or any other sensory needs. \nDuring these days we will have: \nLights On – our overhead gallery lighting will be turned on\, without spotlights\, to create a brighter environment in which to explore.\nSounds Down – we will reduce sound effects throughout the museum as much as possible by turning off most ‘surround sound’ interactives and reducing volumes.\nSensory maps – we have marked out any areas around the museum where you may find louder interactives or visual effects that we cannot turn off. This means you can choose your own route and avoid any areas as you wish. \nIf you would like to bring any sensory items (including but not limited to ear defenders\, magnifying glass\, book\, squeezy toy) that will help you or your loved one to enjoy their experience better\, please feel free to do so\, just make sure you hold onto it and take it home with you! \nFurther Information \n\nPre-booking is essential for these visits\, please use our online booking system.\nUsual entry fees apply. Included in your annual pass.\nAny visitors who wish to join us for the full museum experience\, including normal sound effects and visuals\, should avoid visiting during these special openings. We advise you to book a general admission visit.\nPlease note Crown’s Café will be closed. The gift shop will remain open to ticket holders only. DESCRIPTION:Sparkly Singers is the award-winning Wiltshire-based choir experience\, founded with the simple aim of bringing the joy and benefits of group singing to everyone\, regardless of age\, experience or ability. \nLaunched in September 2023\, our ‘lighter’ daytime sessions are perfect for anyone who just fancies popping out for an hour or so each week to meet new people and sing a fabulous selection of feel-good songs.
