Our taster sessions are the perfect introduction – whether you’re after a one-off adventure or curious about taking it further. \nClimbing is a social\, active and creative sport that’s surprisingly easy to get into – making it a fantastic way to stay fit. These ‘have-a-go’ sessions let you try bouldering\, roped climbing and auto belays. \nBy the end of the session\, you’ll be ready to visit the centre as a boulderer and auto belay user. (Children will still need supervision).

DESCRIPTION:Come along and work with: Anna Randall – Film and TV make-up artist \nCome and learn how to safely sever your finger with latex moulding and bruise yourself up with the magic of makeup.\nIn this session you will go behind the scenes for both stage and screen and what it takes to make someone look a bit battered and beaten up. Get completely hands on with a variety of bruises and burns as well as textured cuts and even severed digits. \nSession 1: 10 – 12pm\nPizza (provided): 12 – 1pm\nSession 2: 1-3pm \nAnna is a Hair And Makeup Effects Artist\, with a Masters Degree in prosthetic effects. She has worked in TV and Film industry for over seven years\, on films\, commercials\, music videos\, feature films and short films\, and her work has led to nominations and awards for Best FX.

DESCRIPTION:Alongside our sessions in Chippenham (‘lighter’ Monday lunchtimes) and Royal Wootton Bassett (Tuesday evenings)\, the Sparkly Singers meet every Thursday evening from 8:00pm at the Lansdowne Hall in Derry Hill. Founded with the simple aim of bringing the joy and benefits of group singing to everyone\, our emphasis is on singing in a way that is\, above all else\, fun. \nRather than splitting into parts and learning harmonies\, we prefer instead to sing in unison\, infusing songs with our own rather unique mix of humour\, movement and the occasional wacky prop. \nSo if you simply love to sing\, but have yet to find the choir that perfectly complements your sense of fun\, why not come along to one of our FREE taster sessions and see what we’re all about. \n
