DESCRIPTION:Teen Takeover is back for 2025 – and it’s set to be even bigger and better! \nFollowing the success of last year’s first Teen Takeover\, the Local Youth Network (LYN) and Chippenham Area Board are bringing back this exciting weekend for young people aged 11 to 19 (up to 25 for those with SEND). \nTeen Takeover showcases the wide range of youth activities and opportunities already active in our area\, plus some special one-off events and taster sessions. \nWhat to expect? \nExpect a weekend full of fun and inspiration\, with over 30+ FREE workshops\, sessions\, and performances to enjoy and get involved in. From Parkour and Breakdancing to Hip-Hop Poetry\, DJing\, Zumba and Climbing – there’s something for everyone! \nTeen Takeover offers a diverse mix of experiences\, so check out the full list of events\, share with your friends and book your spot today! \nWho’s it for? \nYoung people in Chippenham and surrounding villages – aged 11–19\, or up to 25 with SEND. \nWhen and where? \nTeen Takeover will take place on the 18th and 19th October at multiple venues across Chippenham. \nHow do I book? \nThe Teen Takeover activities and workshops will be available to book NOW the Ticket Source website: \nhttps://www.ticketsource.co.uk/chippenham-teen-takeover-weekend-2025 \nPlease note: Some sessions have limited spaces. SUMMARY:FREE family-friendly  guided cycle rides in Chippenham
DESCRIPTION:Bicycles\, Trees\, and Teas is a FREE family friendly cycle ride and repair event exploring nature in Chippenham. The majority is traffic free and has several stopping points to allow people cycling of different abilities to catch up. \nThe ride is part of the Big Bike Revival\, and is particularly suitable for adults who are beginners\, improving\, or returning to cycling. \nThe route has a nature theme featuring:- \n\nFREE Cycle Repair checks at the start 1 hour before setting off . Cycle checks 9-30 to 10-30; ride leaves at approximately 10-30am.\nFREE Cycle accessories\nThe Rooted Tree nursery and Community garden at the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre\nAvon Needs Trees site at Pudding Brook\nA pass by Abbeyfield School\nThe Tiny Forest in Monkton Park\nThe tenth Hole Tea rooms – with FREE refreshments\n\nFor those that need to return to the start the route can be completed. \nThe ride is approximately 5 miles and is almost entirely on the 403 Cycle track away from cars. There is a small section on quieter roads at Hardens mead. \nThe ride is guided by Cycle Chippenham volunteers and has been risk assessed.\nChildren under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.\nAs part of the Big Bike Revival grant criteria we will collect as a minimum a name and email address from adults at the ride event.\nOrganised by Cycle Chippenham in partnership with Chippenham Town Council as part of the Community Environmental Forum. \nTo reserve a place on this event please book via our Eventbrite link.  Spaces are limited so booking is essential!
