DESCRIPTION:How are you? Out of 10?\nThis meet up is a talking and listen club for men aged 18 and over.\nThis group meets the 2nd Monday of each month – upstairs at The Waverley. \nWhat’s it about?\nA Talk & Listen group is a peer to peer talking group run by volunteers we call Captains.\nCaptains are trained to facilitate groups in communities across the UK. \nThese groups are held in person in a safe and quiet space so men can talk and listen using the Talk Club sharing model which starts with ‘How are you? Out of 10?’. This simple question helps men to put a number on how they feel\, (1 being rock bottom and 10 being on top of the world) then trying to explain why. \nDepending on the number of men attending\, sessions last a maximum of two hours.

DESCRIPTION:FOR AGES 18+ \nDrama Workshops with their basis in improvisation and devising\, but including script. \n‘The most fun I have all week’ \nMondays in 5 week blocks at the Cause Arts Centre\, Causeway Chippenham\nImprovers 7.30 – 9pm (Beginners 6 -7.30pm) \nFor those who’ve been coming to us for a while\, or who like to move a bit faster\, this session is for you. \nCome and join a lovely bunch of local budding thespians\, who like to mess about\, play games\, take part in drama exercises and generally have fun while learning how to think on the spot\, make up scenes and not always be restricted by the script. \nYou’ll explore scenes\, develop strong characters then improvise the content with some idea of the outcomes – Mike Leigh style. \nWe’ll also be developing some scenes and creating longer pieces\, so be prepared. SUMMARY:Chippenham Film Club Nov 2025 Monthly Screening: The Beasts (15+)
DESCRIPTION:‘The Beasts’ is an award-winning cinema thriller loosely inspired by real events involving a Dutch couple in a semi-abandoned hamlet in Galicia\, Spain and premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. \nChippenham Film Club was formed to bring films to the town that would not normally be seen on the big screen in Chippenham. There are monthly screenings at the Reel Cinema theatre and the films are selected by members and typically include low budget British films\, limited distribution\, art-house films\, foreign language films and classic films from the past that deserve to be seen again on the big screen. Running since 2022\, last year also also included an inaugural week long festival. \nYou do not need to be a member to attend the screenings but an annual membership gives you a 35% discount off the cost of all Chippenham Film Club screenings.
