DESCRIPTION:Calling all performers aged 13 and up (including adults) \nA NEW performance company for young people and adults. \nWe spent time in June 2025 exploring ideas and working together to see what sort of work we all wanted to create and this will now be followed by a 9 week rehearsal period from Saturday 27th September\, followed by an intensive rehearsal period in January 2026 finishing a performance on Feb 7th 2026 (Venue – TBC – as we’ll come up with that together). \nWhether you’re a seasoned actor or just starting out\, why not showcase your talent and connect with like-minded locals? It may be that you prefer to be backstage or help with the design and production. Whatever your skills\, we’ll find something for you that’ll bring out your best and get you involved\, if it’s the right fit for you and us. \nAll members who sign up must be available for all of the dates below:September 27th\nOctober 4th\, 11th and 18th\nNovember 1st\, 8th\, 15th\, 22nd and 29th\nJan 10th\, 17th\, 24th and 31st\nFeb 7th (Venue TBC) \n(£55 for the whole project (June 2025 to February 2026)\, thanks to the Wiltshire Community Foundation. SUMMARY:Collection Conversations: Chris Dunn & Andrew Langley
DESCRIPTION:In November’s Collection Conversation\, we will be joined by Chris Dunn and Andrew Lansley. \nAfter studying at Bath Spa University\, Chris Dunn worked as a freelance illustrator producing portraits and conceptual illustrations. A commission to illustrate the Wind in the Willow\, has led to him beginning a full-time artist specialising in traditional children’s book watercolour illustration. He now works from Calne where the surrounding countryside is a constant source of inspiration \nAndrew Lansley produces work from many different but direct sources. This may entail a variety of material abstractions or work directly related to impressions and experience of the landscape. In using raw pigments combined with a variety of mediums he achieves a direct connection to the elemental quality of landscape.
