DESCRIPTION:Featuring artworks by some of the leading sculptors and innovators working with ceramics in the UK today\, join us for our next exhibition ‘Subversive Forms: Revolutionary approaches to clay’. \n‘Subversive Forms’ will shine a spotlight on contemporary artists who push the boundaries of possibility with clay. SUMMARY:Trio Paradis Café Concert: By the Fireside
DESCRIPTION:Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan – piano\, Ruth O’Shea – violin & Linda Stocks – cello) play a Café Concert at St Andrew’s Church on the first Tuesday of each month at 11am: informal music events with a pop-up café from 10.30 where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes. \nDecember’s programme is a collection of seasonal music with a warming feel: some inspired by fire itself\, such as De Falla’s Ritual Firedance\, alongside contrasting lullabies and other beautiful melodies to calm the spirits. Music by Vivaldi\, Fauré\, Gladys Rich and others. \nConcerts last c45m and entrance – or rather\, exit! – is by donation\, with a retiring collection. DESCRIPTION:‘My favourite time of the week’ \nA chance to indulge\, draw and to practice some essential drawing skills in a beautiful environment\, guided by someone with over 25 years teaching experience. You’ll use a diverse range of styles and techniques that stretch you and keep you motivated to improve. \nAll while enjoying fresh coffee and meeting some other lovely local artists. \nLife Drawing is challenging and rewarding\, but like drawing anything else\, it takes practice and patience. \nThe best way to encourage practice is to vary the media and techniques available; to make sure this is feasible\, we provide materials (donations welcome) This also allows more confidence as using expensive personal materials tends to inhibit experimentation. \nSometimes the session is devoted to a worksheet-style drawing\, using many poses on one sheet in different materials. These are a great opportunity to gain confidence in composition\, materials and mark-making. \n£105 for 6 x 2 hour session term or £20 cash drop-in option (just for our life drawing sessions) \nWe look forward to meeting you soon.

DESCRIPTION:Love to sing? \nThe Village Singers are a community choir with members of all ages coming from the villages and towns around Chippenham. We have no auditions and we always welcome new members. We have been making music together since 2011. \nWe are united by our love of music and our love of fun but also through many shared emotional experiences.
