DESCRIPTION:Join us between Monday 30 March and Wednesday 8 April for the Chippenham Easter Egg Trail. The Easter Bunny has been busy hiding 16 Easter eggs around the town. \nYou can collect a trail sheet from the Customer Services Easter Display at the Town Hall or download one HERE. \nFollow the map to locate each egg and its letter. Write the letters on your sheet and unscramble them to crack the Easter Bunny’s secret code. \nOnce completed\, return your trail sheet to the Customer Services Easter Display area at the Town Hall to collect a chocolatey treat. \nPlease note: The Town Hall will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday\, but trail sheets will be available from Chippenham Museum between 10am and 4pm on these days. \nIf you’d like to be entered into the prize draw for an Easter Hamper\, please write your details on your completed trail sheet. \nThe Chippenham Easter Egg Trail is in partnership with Melt Productions.

SUMMARY:Lady Chatterley’s Cover: The Book Designs of Stephen Russ
DESCRIPTION:The post-war book designs of artist and teacher\, Stephen Russ\, are coming to life at Chippenham Museum. \nFrom the forties to the seventies\, Russ produced dozens of dust jackets\, from striking first editions of Graham Greene at Bodley Head to a wide range of titles at Collins\, including nature books and the famous Collins Crime Club. \nHe is perhaps best known for his work with Penguin\, designing covers for the main orange series\, the lesser-known music scores\, and the highly collectible Penguin Poets series. His phoenix motif for DH Lawrence’s Lady Chatterley’s Lover became famous during the 1960 obscenity trial and featured in the marketing that helped make the book a bestseller. \nThe exhibition also celebrates Russ’s thirty-year career as a tutor at the renowned Bath Academy of Art in Corsham\, brought together with the generous support of the Russ family and loans from the Penguin Archive and the University of Bristol.

SUMMARY:Trio Paradis: Spring Waters at St Andrew’s Church
DESCRIPTION:Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan – piano\, Ruth O’Shea – violin & Linda Stocks – cello) play a Café Concert at St Andrew’s Church on the first Tuesday of each month at 11am: informal music events with music introduced by the performers. There is a pop-up café from 10.15am where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes. \nOur spring programme features music inspired by the natural beauty of spring and includes ‘D’un matin de printemps’ by Lili Boulanger\, Grieg ‘Spring’\, ‘Il pleut’ by Mel Bonis\, and Rachmaninov ‘Spring Waters’. \nConcerts last c45m and entrance – or rather\, exit! – is by donation\, with a retiring collection. An RSVP via our website is much appreciated but not essential. Cafe Concerts are pay-what-you-feel\, with a retiring collection\, to keep live music affordable for everyone.
