DESCRIPTION:BabyBallers:\nOur youngest class. Starting from 16 months\, allows fundamental movement skills to be picked up from the earliest point. Using a variety of learning techniques\, shapes\, colours\, numbers and body parts are introduced to your little baller. Through patience and perseverance\, we notice recognition from the child after repetition of our classes\, with dribbling and kicking becoming a little less messy. \nMiniBallers:\nMiniBallers has a similar aspect to BabyBallers but includes more football related skills. The children will play more complex games that include dribbling\, passing\, shooting and catching. It is still an environment underpinned by a lot of fun and games\, but the development of their skills will come on in leaps and bounds. By the time they finish\, they will be ready to start learning even more in our Ballers sessions. \nBallers:\nAs your children get older\, our Ballers sessions can help them improve their game further. We start focusing on their development of footballing ability and social development too. Our main aim is to give them a head start for when they join a team/club. We will even suggest some exit routes for them when they approach their final weeks at Ballers!

SUMMARY:Collection Conversations - Ellie Thompson and Sam Heath
DESCRIPTION:In November’s installment of our free art talk series\, we will be joined by Ellie Thompson and Sam Heath. \nEllie Thompson is an artist practicing in the South-West. Thompson’s interest in schadenfreude\, anatomy and a cartoonish sense of humour informs each of her soft sculptures. Her puppet-like characters are at once extinct and alive\, forever stuck in a sticky situation. Though motionless\, Thompson’s skeletons are animated by their all-seeing yet unknowing eyes. \nSam Heath studied at Camberwell College of Arts and Cardiff School of Art and Design. Following a three-year residency at Leighton Park School in Reading\, he has continued to teach drawing and printmaking in schools and colleges\, alongside exhibiting and curating shows in London and the South West. Regular drawing from life is an essential activity that informs Heath’s practice. DESCRIPTION:Join me for a relaxed\, creative afternoon of painting your very own Christmas card design\, with the option to have it turned into printed cards afterwards (see below for more info)! \nIn this workshop\, you’ll learn the techniques of watercolour painting while creating your own Christmas card design. You’ll receive a printed copy of my Introduction to Watercolour booklet\, full of tips and guidance to help you continue your painting after the workshop. \nYou can choose any subject you like for your design\, and I’ll be there to guide you in creating your own version. Some ideas could be a robin\, wreath\, tree\, stockings\, winter cottage\, baubles\, reindeer\, a festive front door… the possibilities are endless! What do you love seeing on a Christmas card? \nI’d advise having something in mind beforehand and maybe choosing a picture to bring with you to the workshop (printed or on your phone) to use as a reference. \nAll materials and equipment will be provided. We’ll have exclusive use of The Waverley’s downstairs snug room\, a complimentary drink is included with your ticket\, and you’ll also receive a free A5 print of my festive robin illustration as a bonus thank you for attending! \nAll are welcome\, whether you’re an art enthusiast or have never picked up a paintbrush before!
