DESCRIPTION:Our Beginner’s Couch to 5K Nordic Walk for Health Course is a structured\, supportive program designed to help individuals gradually build up their fitness and confidence to complete a 5K walk using Nordic walking techniques. \nPerfect for those new to exercise or returning after a break\, the course spans 10 weeks\, starting with short\, manageable sessions that focus on learning proper pole technique\, improving posture\, and developing a steady walking rhythm. Each week\, the intensity and walking duration gently increase\, helping participants boost their stamina and strength without feeling overwhelmed. \nWith guidance from a fully qualified British Nordic Walking instructor and the motivation of a group setting\, this course offers a fun\, social\, and achievable path to completing a 5K while enjoying the full-body benefits of Nordic walking. \nThis course will be held in John Coles Park where you will be able to go at your own pace and we hope to end our 10 weeks completing the 5k route that Chippenham Parkrun follow in Monkton Park. \nFor more information or to book a place please visit our website nordicnomads.net and fill in the ‘contact us’ form.

DESCRIPTION:Join our welcoming\, all-inclusive group of men and women for Walking Rugby\, a fun\, low-impact version of the sport that’s great for all ages and fitness levels. \nWhat is Walking Rugby?\nIn Walking Rugby there are no scrums\, lineouts\, rucks or mauls. To make a tackle\, simply touch the ball carrier with two hands – the ball carrier must then stop and pass the ball to another player on their team.\nNo-one keeps score\, instead the emphasis is on enjoyable and social rugby for all.\nFor more information see the RFU’s video – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAdPp6FS2q4 \nWhat do I need?\nAll you need is sports wear\, studded boots (don’t worry if you don’t have any we have some we can lend you some) as we normally play on our artificial pitch\, and a bottle of water (believe us you will need it!)\, and remember …..we are WALKING! \nWhen and Where?\nWe meet every Friday at Chippenham Rugby Club\, 6.30pm until 7.30pm. We join up with other local rugby clubs on a regular basis to share enjoyable evenings of rugby and socialising\, and also attend festivals hosted by other clubs which includes at least one each year where we are “on tour” \nIf you want to join in whether you have played before or are new to rugby and whatever your gender\, please drop David Cowan an email on walkers@chippenhamrfc.co.uk and he will coordinate. \nCome and give it a ‘Try’!!! \n

DESCRIPTION:Seasons greetings from the North West Wiltshire Ramblers. We’ll be walking throughout the festive period. Walk more\, worry less. Life is better on foot. \nOur weekly programme of Sunday walks typically range from 4 to 12 miles\, and take place in North Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. Our members come from all over the region including Box\, Calne\, Corsham\, Malmesbury and Melksham. \nWe extend a warm welcome to all new walkers\, visitors and guests. Our weekly Sunday walks typically range from 4 to 12 miles. We offer the option of meeting in Chippenham so that we can car share to the start of the walk and give members without cars a lift.
