DESCRIPTION:Maud’s Way \nFirst Wednesday of the month\n3 April to 4 September\, 7pm – 9pm\nFree\, spaces limited \nJoin Chippenham Museum’s Creative Writing Group and take part in our new series of 6 linked writing workshops led by local writer and facilitator Ruth Hill. \nInspired by the 550th anniversary of Maud Heath’s Causeway and the Museum’s summer exhibition\, Re-imagining Maud Heath\, discover how Maud and her Causeway has been celebrated by artists\, writers\, and everyday people across the centuries. Explore the stories surrounding Maud Heath and consider how local myths and legends begin and grow over time. \nOver the 6 months\, explore\, discover\, share and create your own local stories and perhaps some of these will develop into longstanding legends which will be told for years to come! \nThese sessions are suitable for beginners to experienced writers and will culminate with performed readings as part of the Maud’s Way Heritage Open Day’s events in September. \nGroup meets on the first Wednesday of the month at Chippenham Museum. \nWorkshops are free but spaces are limited. DESCRIPTION:Chippenham Flower Club is honoured to host Michael Bowyer\, MBE as he performs his floral demonstration ‘Twixt Spring and Summer’. \nMichael is a NAFAS demonstrator\, judge and president of the South West Area of NAFAS. He is known as the David Beckham of Flower Arranging\, admired and respected for his floral art. He supervises the arrangements at Salisbury Cathedral and was in charge of two pedestal at Westminster Abbey for the funeral of our late Queen. \nMichael is joining us on 13th May at Sheldon School Hall. This promises to be an enjoyable evening\, apart from Michael’s demonstration we have our popular Plant Stall\, Bring and Buy stall and our Sales Stall\, as well as refreshments. As always there is a raffle where for £1.00 a strip of tickets you could win one of Michael’s displays. \nMembers are free\nVisitors – £6.00\nAccompanied children are welcome.\nDoors open at 6.45pm

Then tell us! \nWorking in collaboration with Ruth Hill of Knapsack Productions\, The RISE Trust and Riverbank Studios\, Chippenham to give creative opportunities to young people in Chippenham.
