SUMMARY:Cherished Vehicle & Family Fun Day
DESCRIPTION:This is the twelfth year we have held this event and it grows in size and popularity every year. We will have a large variety of attractions for all the family to enjoy and we expect to have in excess of 250 cherished cars attending as well as a performance Arena\, Fairground\, Local Foods\, Craft\, Charity and Trade Stands. \nOur main charity this year is Dorothy House Hospialong with other Lions Charities – local\, national and international – but mostly local. \nThe site is in the Chippenham countryside with the Avon close by\, a couple of miles north of Chippenham and about three miles south of the M4 J17. It has good access through wide lanes with plenty of easy parking – so why not make it a day out … \nOur main charity this year is Dorothy House Hospice Care along with other Lions Charities – local\, national and international – but mostly local. \nSee our event website at: http://cvs.rocks to book\, how to find us\, make enquires and much more.

DESCRIPTION:A day for carers of those with life-limiting and palliative conditions\, to come in and see what support is available to you. This may be around health and well-being support\, financial support (CAB advisors) or even support after the death of someone who you cared for. \nWe have our Day Patient Services running sessions for those you care for\, so you can bring them along too\, and allow our staff to take care of them whilst you visit for the session to get information\, or maybe just peace of mind. \nPlease contact Dorothy House to book a space in DPS if you are intended to bring those you care for\, as spaces are limited. \nSessions run from 10:30am-1pm and 2pm-4:30pm please see flyer for more information and book by calling

SUMMARY:A Walk to Remember
DESCRIPTION:Seven-mile charity walk for Alzheimer’s Support and a great day out for the whole family! \nPull on your walking boots and take part in A Walk to Remember on Saturday 8th June. \nIt’s a circular seven-miles through some of North Wiltshire’s loveliest countryside starting and finishing at Bowood Estate at the kind permission of the charity’s patron Lady Lansdowne. \nThe day starts with bacon or veggie butties then\, after a fun group warm-up\, we head out into the beautiful north Wiltshire countryside. Everyone walks at their own pace. You can walk with others\, stride ahead or do your own thing. There are plenty of great views and scenic places to stop for a picnic along the way. And marshals will be on hand to make sure you find your way. \nBack at the estate\, our post-walk celebrations include medals for all the finishers\, commemorative photos\, plenty of tea and cake and chance to relax with other walkers. \nPlease sign up and join us in June – you’ll have a great day out and be walking for dementia with every step.
