DESCRIPTION:We are celebrating our second anniversary of the Album Listening Event fundraiser for Dorothy House Hospice with free live music at The Old Road Tavern Chippenham on Thursday 20th Aug starting at 8pm. \nLocal band Random Shapes will showcase their debut album ‘Crinkles’ which was released very recently on July 24th. They will introduce their record which we will listen to in full and they will play a few tracks live for us. The band also had no hesitation in selecting a favourite classic album for us to listen to and discuss – the 2002 release from The Flaming Lips ‘Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots.’ \nWe will include a fun prize draw raffle during the evening\, but there is no charge for attending and all are welcome. Voluntary donations in aid of the vital work of our local hospice are of course welcomed\, however.

Join us for a brilliant day of cycling! \nFamily Fun Day at the Circuit\nA relaxed day of cycling and activities for all ages! \nFrom 11am until 4pm\, the circuit opens for our Family Fun Day\, giving you a rare chance to cycle around the full Castle Combe racetrack with family and friends. \nThis event is open to all ages and abilities. Ride as many laps as you like throughout the afternoon and enjoy the thrill of cycling on a real race circuit. \nEach lap you complete earns a stamp on your Cycling Challenge Card. The more laps you ride\, the more points you collect and the chance to win fun prizes. \nNEW for 2026\nWe are introducing a timed circuit event for families and young cyclists\, giving participants the chance to set their own best time around the track. SUMMARY:Beyond Dementia\, Art Group in Chippenham
DESCRIPTION:Chippenham Art Group meets monthly on Wednesdays in St Paul’s Church Hall\, Greenway Lane\, Chippenham. It’s led by artist Fran Young and organised by our experienced community services coordinator Pam Ollis. \nProjects ranging from painting and drawing to collage\, printing\, crafts\, clay modelling and more. We work at a leisurely pace with plenty of time for conversation and connection. No previous experience of art is necessary and everyone works at their own pace. People can also work on their own projects and develop their own ideas. \nFamily carers are welcome at the group as full members and encouraged to join in to create their own pieces of art. \nIf you’d like to come along as a group member\, or for more information\, please call Pam on 01380 739055\, or to register your interest please use the form below. \nThis group is kindly part-funded by Chippenham Borough Lands Charity.
