Wrap up warm and please wear sturdy\, waterproof footwear. \nDuring busy times\, you may be asked to wait whilst the events staff manage the flow of people. DESCRIPTION:“The Festival of Christmas” is a series of events in Chippenham celebrating all things festive running from Sunday 28th November until Sunday 19th December. \nThe launch day takes place on Sunday 28 November\, when Chippenham Town Centre will be full of fun and free entertainment between 10am – 7pm\, bringing the community together safely to enjoy a range of activities including: \nLantern Making Workshops and Glitter-Glo Face Paintingat the Town Hall\, 11am-4pm \nFire Performers in the Market Place\, at intervals between 4pm-6pm \nFestive Stilt-walkers on the High Street\, at intervals between 10am-4pm \nSnow Globe Photo Experience in Borough Parade\, 9am-6pm \nMeet Santa at the Yelde Hall\, 10am-6pm (SOLD OUT) \nIn addition to the events above\, the High Street will host a festive Artisan Market between 10am-7pm. There will be over 30 stalls to visit and enjoy across the day including artisan cider\, mulled wine\, and roasted chestnuts as well as\, handmade gifts\, and baked goods. \nA small community stage will also feature in Market Place where the Christmas Tree can be found. The stage will feature a variety of local acts between 11am – 6pm including Corsham and Colerne Military Wives Choir\, Chippenham’s Dancing Academy\, Ministry of Samba\, Rock Choir: Trowbridge\, Frome\, Warminster/Westbury and Chippenham\, CLOGG’s Musical Theatre. \nThe Christmas lights will be switched on at  5pm however\, to reduce the risk of mass gathering there won’t be an official countdown\, or switch on this year. \n \n

You will find a variety of handmade goods from local businesses including jewellery\, clothing\, confectionary\, candles and much more. \nTake part in our raffle with local restaurant vouchers\, Christmas hampers\, wine and lots more up for grabs! \nThis fundraising event in memory of David Godwin will be raising money for the Great Western Air Ambulance Service and the HELP appeal\, which raises funds for air ambulance landing pads. \nThis is the fourth fundraiser for The Bless His Heart Foundation which has so far raised over £5000 for charities close to Dave’s families hearts.
