DESCRIPTION:Come and join us down at The Illuminated Island as we kick start the 2023 festive season… \nFor the third year running\, come and experience the banks of the River Avon spectacularly lit up\, bringing some twinkling magic to the heart of Chippenham. \nThe event is produced and managed by local Creative Event Production company Melt Productions in partnership with Chippenham Town Council. \nAlongside the lights\, this years’ focal point will be the beautiful wooden Roundhouse; a cosy\, heated\, wooden structure – the perfect spot to enjoy our jam-packed roster of entertainment as well as some well-earned ‘Hygee’. \nNew for this year\, we have carefully curated a full schedule of Festive Fringe entertainment\, including live Music\, Comedy\, Cabaret\, Cinema Screenings\, Workshops\, and even a Festive Quiz! \nOur infamous Aprés Ski Bar will return\, serving up delicious Hot and Cold Drinks\, Mulled Wine and wintery Cocktails\, alongside some of the South West’s top-notch Food Vendors. \nThis year’s event runs from Thursday 14th – Sunday 17th December (inclusive) down at The Island\, Monkton Park (just over Town Bridge). \nThe Light Trail and Festive Fringe show times vary\, please take a look at the schedule for more information. \nChippenham-Christmas-Programme-2023 \nPlease Note:\n* Each event is free to attend and seats will be allocated on a first-come\, first-serve basis.\n* The trail is situated on uneven ground\, please ensure you wear suitable footwear.\n* Disabled access is situated along the path from the main entrance\, please alert one of our Stewards wearing high-vis should you require any assistance.\n* All dogs are required to remain on a lead throughout the trail. DESCRIPTION:Please join Kandu Arts & Steve Perryman for the official opening of the S.H.O.P – Social Hub Of Positivity – in its new location in Emery Gate Shopping Centre\, Chippenham. \nWhy not pop in\, maybe purchase the legendary Tottenham Hotspur captain Steve Perryman MBE’s books for that special fan in your life (or for you) have them signed\, have a professional photograph taken by Anna Green with Mr. Perryman have a chat and experience all that the S.H.O.P has in store this December? \nThe Kandu Arts S.H.O.P offers a safe and warm space for all our visitors with the aim of providing a positive atmosphere where creativity is encouraged. There are tables and art supplies ready to be used Monday to Saturday with regular art workshops\, drop in and play music and singing and of course seasonal gifts\, cards\, art\, portrait photos all available now.
