DESCRIPTION: Great opportunity for neurodiverse young people \n A set of cassettes tapes from the 1980s which haven’t been accessible for many years have just been digitised as part of the Sounds of the South West project. \n Be the first to find out the content in these oral histories\, become skilled in the technical aspects of working with audio material\, get creative using the contents as a starting point\, with the chance to be mentored by experienced practitioners who will support you every step of the way. \n You’ll be able to create something special to share with others\, learn new skills\, have fun\, and maybe make some new friends. Come and enjoy spending time in a calm\, accepting and welcoming environment. \nJoin the sessions in person or online if you’d prefer. \nThe project will run every Thursday from 10.15am-3pm from 20th March to 22nd May. DESCRIPTION:Alongside our sessions in Chippenham (‘lighter’ Monday lunchtimes) and Royal Wootton Bassett (Tuesday evenings)\, the Sparkly Singers meet every Thursday evening from 8:00pm at the Lansdowne Hall in Derry Hill. Founded with the simple aim of bringing the joy and benefits of group singing to everyone\, our emphasis is on singing in a way that is\, above all else\, fun. \nRather than splitting into parts and learning harmonies\, we prefer instead to sing in unison\, infusing songs with our own rather unique mix of humour\, movement and the occasional wacky prop. \nSo if you simply love to sing\, but have yet to find the choir that perfectly complements your sense of fun\, why not come along to one of our FREE taster sessions and see what we’re all about. \n
