DESCRIPTION: Great opportunity for neurodiverse young people \n A set of cassettes tapes from the 1980s which haven’t been accessible for many years have just been digitised as part of the Sounds of the South West project. \n Be the first to find out the content in these oral histories\, become skilled in the technical aspects of working with audio material\, get creative using the contents as a starting point\, with the chance to be mentored by experienced practitioners who will support you every step of the way. \n You’ll be able to create something special to share with others\, learn new skills\, have fun\, and maybe make some new friends. Come and enjoy spending time in a calm\, accepting and welcoming environment. \nJoin the sessions in person or online if you’d prefer. \nThe project will run every Thursday from 10.15am-3pm from 20th March to 22nd May. DESCRIPTION:Come along to our Swap event to freshen up your new year’s wardrobe! Hosted by Clothes Swap Chippenham – fundraising for Pride in Chippenham. \nHow does a Clothes Swap work? \n\ndive into your wardrobe and dig out any clothes in good\, clean condition\, and bring them to the swap.\nwhen you arrive\, hand your items over to our staff who will sort them\ngrab a seat downstairs\, and a drink/snack from the venue\, – this venue has been kindly given to us for free for this event\, so be sure to help us give back by grabbing a drink\, etc\npay your £5 entry fee; this goes directly to our designated local charity for this event\nbrowse and swap from our chosen stalls\, whilst our volunteers sort the clothing items\nwhen the staff are ready\, we will introduce the event and then you are free to browse through the clothes\ntake home as many items as you feel is fair\n\nFAQs \nWhat will be there? \n\nWe will have clothes as well as shoes and accessories. For hygiene reasons we don’t accept underwear\, socks or swimming costumes.\n\nWhat if I don’t find something I like? \n\nWe often have sizes 8-38 attend and end up with such a great deal of items each time\, so there will likely be something for you.\n\nWhy isn’t it swap-for-swap/item for item? \n\nWe have so many items come through the doors\, if we did swap for swap\, we’d have too many items left over at the end! We ask people take for themselves only but to feel free to take as much as they feel is fair – you can always bring the item back to the next Clothes Swap event if it doesn’t work out!\n\nDon’t people take loads of stuff? Are people grabby or rude? \n\nOur seasoned swappers are kind\, friendly and polite\, and we ask all those attending to be the same. Be considerate of others and you’ll go home with armfuls of items\, and a smile on your face.\n\nCan I bring my children? \n\nWe ask that you don’t bring under 14s\n\nWhere do the leftover items go? \n\nAll items leftover are donated to charity/local causes\n\nPlease remember – our venue kindly gave us this space for FREE! DESCRIPTION:Set during the 1992–1993 War in Abkhazia\, Tangerines is a 2013 Estonian-Georgian film written\, produced\, and directed by Zaza Urushadze. \nSet in a rural village in a Russian-backed separatist region in the newly independent Georgia\, Ivo and his friend Margus are the only two\, of their once large community\, who have not fled the war\, so they can harvest the lucrative tangerine crop. \nTragically\, despite their best efforts to avoid the surrounding conflict\, the war quickly finds Ivo and Margus. \nTangerines is a brilliant exploration of conflict and war\, reconciliation\, and pacifism\, and was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film award at the 87th Academy Awards and the 72nd Golden Globe Awards.

DESCRIPTION:Love to sing? \nThe Village Singers are a community choir with members of all ages coming from the villages and towns around Chippenham. We have no auditions and we always welcome new members. We have been making music together since 2011. \nWe are united by our love of music and our love of fun but also through many shared emotional experiences. We have no auditions and we always welcome new members. We have been making music together since 2011. \nWe are united by our love of music and our love of fun but also through many shared emotional experiences. DESCRIPTION: Great opportunity for neurodiverse young people \n A set of cassettes tapes from the 1980s which haven’t been accessible for many years have just been digitised as part of the Sounds of the South West project. \n Be the first to find out the content in these oral histories\, become skilled in the technical aspects of working with audio material\, get creative using the contents as a starting point\, with the chance to be mentored by experienced practitioners who will support you every step of the way. \n You’ll be able to create something special to share with others\, learn new skills\, have fun\, and maybe make some new friends. Come and enjoy spending time in a calm\, accepting and welcoming environment. \nJoin the sessions in person or online if you’d prefer. \nThe project will run every Thursday from 10.15am-3pm from 20th March to 22nd May. DESCRIPTION: Great opportunity for neurodiverse young people \n A set of cassettes tapes from the 1980s which haven’t been accessible for many years have just been digitised as part of the Sounds of the South West project. \n Be the first to find out the content in these oral histories\, become skilled in the technical aspects of working with audio material\, get creative using the contents as a starting point\, with the chance to be mentored by experienced practitioners who will support you every step of the way. \n You’ll be able to create something special to share with others\, learn new skills\, have fun\, and maybe make some new friends. Come and enjoy spending time in a calm\, accepting and welcoming environment. \nJoin the sessions in person or online if you’d prefer. \nThe project will run every Thursday from 10.15am-3pm from 20th March to 22nd May. DESCRIPTION:Alongside our sessions in Chippenham (‘lighter’ Monday lunchtimes) and Royal Wootton Bassett (Tuesday evenings)\, the Sparkly Singers meet every Thursday evening from 8:00pm at the Lansdowne Hall in Derry Hill. Founded with the simple aim of bringing the joy and benefits of group singing to everyone\, our emphasis is on singing in a way that is\, above all else\, fun. \nRather than splitting into parts and learning harmonies\, we prefer instead to sing in unison\, infusing songs with our own rather unique mix of humour\, movement and the occasional wacky prop. \nSo if you simply love to sing\, but have yet to find the choir that perfectly complements your sense of fun\, why not come along to one of our FREE taster sessions and see what we’re all about. \n
