DESCRIPTION:NEW SERIES\nTrio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan – piano\, Lisa Betteridge – violin & Linda Stocks – cello) bring a brand new series of monthly Café Concerts to Chippenham. \nEvery first Tuesday of each month at 11am in the beautiful surroundings and fine acoustic of St Andrew’s Church they will play an informal concert with a pop-up café from 10.30am\, where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and cakes\, and then enjoy live music. \n‘Iberia’ is a collection of music by mostly Spanish composers to bring us some sunshine during February\, including Turina’s Circulo and works by de Falla\, Fernandez-Arbos\, Albeniz and others. \nThe concert lasts c45m and entrance is by donation\, with a retiring collection. All ages welcome\, including children. A cake and a drink in the café costs £3.50. DESCRIPTION:Wiltshire Rural Music are proud to present our 2022 Liz Laurence Award Winner GABRIEL LONGBOTHAM on Saturday 29th July at The Cause\, Chippenham. \n“An evening of beautiful\, soulful music showcasing Devizes’ finest young talent – the incredible Gabriel Longbotham” \nGabriel is a 19 year old pianist\, organist and songwriter from Devizes. He attended St Augustine’s School in Trowbridge and is currently studying music at Royal Northern College in Manchester. He won our Liz Lawrence Award last April after wowing the judges with his talent on piano. \nAs a Wiltshire based charity\, WRM aims to provide young people with access to music without the barrier of cost. Gabriel received bursaries from WRM to assist him in his musical studies\, and\, as a result of support from this scheme\, he achieved his Grade 8. \nThe Liz Laurence Award consists of a £1\,000 prize which was presented by the Mayor of Devizes\, but also the chance to perform a one off hometown gig with the charity’s help. This year the musical celebration will be held on Saturday 10th December\, starting at 7.30 pm. \nFor the event we will welcome back the local Military Wives Choir and the Dodington Parish Band. We had an entertaining evening last year and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the music\, singing and the atmosphere.
