DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday 20 August at Chippenham Museum for Waste-Not-Wednesday\, a day of free workshops and activities dedicated to slowing down fashion as part of our ‘Threads’ summer of fun! \n👕 T-Shirt Bag Activity\n📅 Wednesday 20 August\n🕥 10.30am – 12.30pm\n🎟️ Free\, drop-in \nTake part in a simple no-sew activity where you’ll learn a fun way to give an old T-shirt a new life. We’ll have some materials for use on the day\, but to make the most of the activity bring along your own pre-loved t-shirt from home. Suitable for ages 4+\, under 10s must be accompanied by an adult. \n🪡 Visible Mending Workshop\n📅 Wednesday 20 August\n🕥 1.30pm – 3.30pm\n🎟️ Free\, booking essential: bit.ly/VisibleMendingWorkshop \nLearn how to repair your clothes with a professional seamstress. You’ll be taught basic hand stitches\, how to sew a patch\, and ways to creatively embellish old clothing to give it a new lease of life. All materials and equipment will be provided. You’ll practice basic techniques while making a drawstring bag to take home. Please bring your own sewing machine\, a few bobbins\, and any sewing kit you have. Fabric will be provided.
