SUMMARY:Chippenham Folk Festival : Family and Community Events
DESCRIPTION:Island Park will be the centre of the family and community programme. There’s something for the whole family including performances from choirs\, singer-songwriters\, musicians\, bands\, drumming workshops\, dancing\, storytelling\, crafting\, puppetry\, circus skills\, face painters\, play and sensory sessions for the under 5’s and more! \nThe full family and community programme is now available on the Chippenham Folk Festival website www.chippfolk.co.uk. Free to attend but any donations welcomed. \nThere will also be music found in pubs and various other venues around the town. Check out the dance displays\, two dance stages and many dancers around the town all weekend. Don’t miss the parades on Saturday and Monday. \nFree entry to the Craft Marquee with many other traders around Island Park and the town and of course don’t miss the festival bar! \nDon’t forget you can also purchase individual Day\, Event and Concert tickets! DESCRIPTION:Led by our Education Officer in our Education Suite\, find out just how many different types of engineering you can do with one of the simplest materials! Choose from guided designs like table football\, tabletop spinner\, a maze or even a crane (for the advanced engineers)\, or see where your imagination takes you!\nThis is a drop-in activity\, just book your regular entry tickets. All cardboard provided – no need to bring your recycling bin! \nCrafts will be also available in Creation Station if you’d prefer a self-led activity at your own leisure.\nIf you are planning to visit as a Holiday Club or similar group\, please contact the museum to arrange a special booking. \nAll activities included in entry fee\, general entry applies (see details on our website).
