DESCRIPTION:Join local historian Lucy Whitfield at Chippenham library for a local history trail.\nHunt throughout the building\, and the shelves\, for clues to piece together the history of two local Chippenham characters. And be in the running for a special chocolate prize. \nHidden amongst the shelves in the library will be clues to these two special characters of Chippenham – Margaret Griffin and Ann Colborne – and your job is to find all the information and put together their stories. \nYou can follow the story of Ann or Margaret\, or even look at them both.\nAnd there’s two ways to look too – a simpler trail for families (under-14s)\, and a more in-depth trail for individuals (15-adults) which involves more research in the library – so suitable for anyone and everyone who’s interested in the history of our fabulous town. \nThere’ll be four chances of a chocolate prize – each drawn from the families and from the individual answers of both the Ann trail and the Margaret trail\, so lots to play for. \nCan YOU discover the trail and piece the clues together? \nCompletely free. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a day of Cherished Cars\, Delightful Dogs and Family Fun – something for everyone – families\, dog lovers and petrolheads alike. It’s our Cherished Vehicle and Family Fun Day. \nChippenham Lions will be holding this event on Sunday 7 June from 10am in the fields at Meadow Farm Nurseries\, Langley Burrell\, Chippenham\, SN15 4LW. \nThis is our fourteenth year and it just grows in size and popularity every year. They will have a large variety of attractions for all the family to enjoy with a fairground a performance arena\, a Food Village and Craft\, Charity\, Trade Stands and of course The Fun Dog Show. \nIn excess of 250 cherished vehicles are expected; all in their prime and with owners bubbling to answer your questions. Many owners clubs have now made this a regular meet so expect to see marques as diverse as MG\, Marcos\, Morgan and Muscle cars. And you may also find some of those wonderful 1950’s USA models.\nThe entrance will be £8 for adults (dogs and kids go free) and our main charity this year is Dorothy House Hospice – along with other Lions Charities – local\, national and international – but mostly local. \nEnjoy a day of Cherished Cars\, Delightful Dogs and Family Fun. DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for the REME Museum Extravaganza\, in celebration of Armed Forces Day 2026!\nThis fun-filled open day is a celebration of everything that it means to be part of the REME Family. The event takes place throughout the entire museum grounds\, including the galleries\, Education Suite\, outdoor spaces and gardens and of course Crown’s Café! \nExpect even bigger and better things this year\, as we combine a Summer Fete with Armed Forces Day\, for an exciting day out for all the family with loads to get involved in! \nYou can expect:- \n\nSummer Fete style games like hook-a-duck\, basketball throw\, mini golf and more\nInflatable games\, including fan favourite axe-throwing\nDisplays\, exhibitions and equipment from REME’s local units including 8 Training Battalion REME and the School of Army Aeronautical Engineering (SAAE) Lyneham\nHistoric recovery vehicles from the museum’s collection\nStalls from local businesses and charities\nREME Charity prize raffle\n\nPlease note: Many displays and equipment are provided by active REME units and are subject to operational requirements. As such\, there may be changes with minimal notice. We aim to update visitors of any major changes in advance on the REME Museum website. \nCrown’s Café will be open to visitors with a ticket to the event\, offering a limited lunchtime menu\, plus tea\, coffee and cake of course! Additional catering vans will also be on-site offering food to purchase throughout the weekend. \nFree parking will be available in the museum’s large car park\, visitors are asked to please reserve a parking space if you need one in advance. Blue Badge spaces are available on a first-come-first-served basis and you must have reserved a parking space online. If you can\, please consider travelling by alternative means. \nDogs are welcome on the museum grounds but are not allowed inside the building\, with the exception of assistance dogs.

Join us for a brilliant day of cycling! \nFamily Fun Day at the Circuit\nA relaxed day of cycling and activities for all ages! \nFrom 11am until 4pm\, the circuit opens for our Family Fun Day\, giving you a rare chance to cycle around the full Castle Combe racetrack with family and friends. \nThis event is open to all ages and abilities. Ride as many laps as you like throughout the afternoon and enjoy the thrill of cycling on a real race circuit. \nEach lap you complete earns a stamp on your Cycling Challenge Card. The more laps you ride\, the more points you collect and the chance to win fun prizes. \nNEW for 2026\nWe are introducing a timed circuit event for families and young cyclists\, giving participants the chance to set their own best time around the track. Small prizes will be awarded to those who take part. \nAway from the track there will be plenty to enjoy\, including:\n• Children’s games and activities\n• Cycling skills sessions\n• The chance to meet the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance mascot\n• Delicious food and refreshments\n• And much more still to be announced!
