DESCRIPTION:Come along and work with: Lottie Bywaters – Costume designer and maker \nCome and learn the process of costume design\, how your favourite film and theatre costumes started out as a simple sketch and even design and make your own. In this session you will learn what goes into costume design and production. You will then get the opportunity design your own superhero cape before cutting\, pinning and sewing it into existence. Decorate it with your own personalised logo and fulfil your superhero dreams. \nSession 1: 10 – 12pm\nPizza 12 – 1pm\nSession 2: 1-3pm \nLottie is a professional seamstress\,TA\, artist and singer with a strong passion for all things textiles.

DESCRIPTION:‘Transformation’ is a short film that shows a week in the life of an ordinary girl as she transforms 7 different materials\, using different techniques to create 7 unique looks\, visiting 7 different places. The garments have been made using a range of up-cycled materials and have been individually decorated by talented local artists and crafts people.\nThere is a look-book and programme available to accompany the short film\, which enables you to take a closer look at their beautiful work. Then take part in the live\, making tutorial with Refashion My Town which will give you the opportunity to sew one of the garments yourself. The tutorial is suitable for all skill levels and there will be a Q&A at the end of the session. The pattern instructions are available to download when you book your free place for event here. \n\n\nNote: We advise that you download the pattern prior to event\, so we can help clarify anything that may be unclear during the workshop. \nRefashion My Town promotes the reuse and up-cycling of clothing and fabric amongst young people in the area\, to reduce the impact of fast fashion on our environment. \n*This event is part of the Fringe Feb Festival\, sponsored by Chippenham Borough Lands Charity.
