SUMMARY:Chippenham Parkrun
DESCRIPTION:Parkrun is a free\, community event where you can walk\, jog\, run\, volunteer or spectate. The course is 5k and takes place every Saturday morning in Monkton Park at 9am. Junior parkrun is 2k\, dedicated to 4-14 year olds and their families\, every Sunday morning. \nWalking or running is simple\, free and one of the easiest ways to get more active\, lose weight and become healthier. Sometimes overlooked as a form of exercise\, walking briskly can help you build stamina\, burn excess calories and make your heart healthier. Spending time in nature can reduce anxiety and improve your mood while physical activity is known to reduce your risk of diabetes\, depression\, dementia and cardiovascular diseases. \nWhy not give Parkrun a try – the course goes through Monkton Park and follows the river on a mixture of trail paths\, tarmac paths and gravel paths. Parkrun is positive\, welcoming and inclusive\, there is no time limit and no one finishes last.
