The work included timber repairs\, restored plasterwork\, limework\, and the installation of a new pentice board\, which will help preserve the building’s frontage. \nThis beautiful and iconic building can now be enjoyed once again in all its glory during our summer morning openings. DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendar for the out-of-this-world\, fantastical Sci-Fi Day at the REME Museum on Saturday 20 September 2025! \nThis event is getting bigger and better each year\, with more iconic memorabilia from your favourite Sci-Fi franchises\, ‘real life’ creatures roaming the museum’s galleries\, special celebrity guests\, merchandise purchasing opportunities and of course cosplay! \nUpdates on celebrities will be announced on our social media channels\, event webpage and email newsletter. The webpage contains further details. We always encourage visitors to get tickets early to avoid disappointment! \nFree parking is available in our large car park\, including Blue Badge spaces on a first-come-first-served basis. We ask that you please reserve a parking space if you need one in advance. If you can\, please consider travelling by alternative means. \nCrown’s Cafe will be serving treats that are out-of-this-world! From hot barista-style drinks to sandwiches\, quiches and cakes\, you’ll find something for everyone to enjoy. Since this is a ticket-only event\, the cafe and play park will be closed to general visitors without a ticket on this day. \nPricing: Adult £15\, Child £7.50\, Family £40\, Gold Card Holders £5. No other discounts are available for this event and annual passes do not apply. Tickets will be available for morning and afternoon sessions on Saturday 20 September and should be booked online in advance.

DESCRIPTION:For our next Collection Conversation\, we will be joined by Ione Parkin and Jonathan Parnham. \nIone Parkin is developing a growing body of artwork inspired by the rich imagery of space and her ongoing dialogue with researchers. Her paintings express her fascination with the formation of the universe while her mixed-media works on paper respond to planetary surfaces\, extremes of temperature and geological process. \nJonathan Parnham is an art educator and artist living in Wiltshire. Painting on location\, to capture the atmosphere of each environment that he discovers\, is a vital component of Jonathan’s.
