DESCRIPTION:Alongside our sessions in Chippenham (Monday lunchtimes) and Royal Wootton Bassett (Tuesday evenings)\, the Sparkly Singers meet every Thursday evening from 8:00pm at the Lansdowne Hall in Derry Hill. \nFounded with the simple aim of bringing the joy and benefits of group singing to everyone\, our emphasis is on singing in a way that is\, above all else\, fun.\nRather than splitting into parts and learning harmonies\, we prefer instead to sing in unison\, infusing songs with our own rather unique mix of humour\, movement and the occasional wacky prop. \nSo if you simply love to sing\, but have yet to find the choir that perfectly complements your sense of fun\, why not come along to one of our FREE taster sessions and see what we’re all about.

DESCRIPTION:Please join the Village Singers on Saturday March 1st for a “Come and Sing” of Faure’s beautiful Requiem at St Andrew’s Church\, Chippenham\, Wiltshire SN15 3JN.  The cost is £15 (£10 for Village Singers choir members) and will include refreshments\, though lunch is not included. \nTo book\, please email us at info@villagesingers.co.uk \nRegistration is at 10am\, with rehearsals starting at 10.30am. There will be a free informal performance at 4pm.  Please bring your own score – we will be using the Novello edition (edited by Desmond Ratcliffe). \nThe Village Singers are an experienced non-auditioned choir\, formed in 2011\, and we are always looking to welcome new members. DESCRIPTION:Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan – piano\, Ruth O’Shea – violin & Linda Stocks – cello) play a Café Concert at St Andrew’s Church on the first Tuesday of each month at 11am: informal music events with a pop-up café from 10.30 where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes. \nMarch’s concert is a collection of music by women composers to mark International Women’s Day (8th March). The programme includes the Phantasy Trio by Irish composer Joan Trimble\, and works by Rosalind Ellicott\, Elfrida Andrée\, Adela Maddison\, Dora Pejacevic and Clara Schumann. \nConcerts last c45m and entrance – or rather\, exit! – is by donation\, with a retiring collection.
