DESCRIPTION:Island Park will be the centre of the family and community programme. There’s something for the whole family including performances from choirs\, singer-songwriters\, musicians\, bands\, drumming workshops\, dancing\, storytelling\, crafting\, puppetry\, circus skills\, face painters\, play and sensory sessions for the under 5’s and more! \nThe full family and community programme is now available on the Chippenham Folk Festival website www.chippfolk.co.uk. Free to attend but any donations welcomed. \nThere will also be music found in pubs and various other venues around the town. Check out the dance displays\, two dance stages and many dancers around the town all weekend. DESCRIPTION:Alongside our sessions in Chippenham (‘lighter’ Monday lunchtimes) and Royal Wootton Bassett (Tuesday evenings)\, the Sparkly Singers meet every Thursday evening from 8:00pm at the Lansdowne Hall in Derry Hill. Founded with the simple aim of bringing the joy and benefits of group singing to everyone\, our emphasis is on singing in a way that is\, above all else\, fun. \nRather than splitting into parts and learning harmonies\, we prefer instead to sing in unison\, infusing songs with our own rather unique mix of humour\, movement and the occasional wacky prop. \nSo if you simply love to sing\, but have yet to find the choir that perfectly complements your sense of fun\, why not come along to one of our FREE taster sessions and see what we’re all about. \n
