DESCRIPTION:We’re back!\nFor ages 13+ – you can do art and design or acting improvisation\nDelivered in 10 week blocks \nFor 13-17yrs: 5.30pm – 7pm at St Pauls Church Hall\, Malmesbury Rd\, Chippenham \nTerm 1: September 18th – October 16th 2024 / November 6th – December 4th 2024 \nTerm 2: January 8th 2025 – Feb 5th 2025 / Feb 26th March 2025 \nTerm 3: April 23rd – May 21st/ June 4th – July 2nd 2025 \nWe won’t be doing shows during these sessions – but honing our improvisation skills and maybe doing a gig to a paying audience\, for those who want to take this leap. \nTaught by professional actor Jim Coupland and workshop assistant Izzy Perkins. DESCRIPTION:In extracts from Shakespeare’s Henry IV\, Shakespeare Live’s team of actors take multiple roles to tell the story of the tortuous relationship between Prince Hal\, the future Henry V\, and the dissolute knight Sir John Falstaff. Shakespeare mingles comedy\, drama and pathos in the tale of the young prince coming of age and finding his destiny\, while the boastful\, blustering Falstaff follows haplessly in his wake. The scene moves from the seedy streets and taverns of London\, across highways and battlefields\, to reach the final denouement at the court of the newly-crowned King Henry V. \nThis long-established and well-regarded Shakespeare theatre company produces annual productions in the grounds of Cleeve House\, Seend\, Wiltshire\, SN12 6PG. \nShakespeare Live has been running  for over 30 years and is a group of talented and skilled actors and technicians who give their time and energy for free. The organisation is a registered charity.

DESCRIPTION:Alongside our sessions in Chippenham (Monday lunchtimes) and Royal Wootton Bassett (Tuesday evenings)\, the Sparkly Singers meet every Thursday evening from 8:00pm at the Lansdowne Hall in Derry Hill.\nFounded with the simple aim of bringing the joy and benefits of group singing to everyone\, our emphasis is on singing in a way that is\, above all else\, fun. \nRather than splitting into parts and learning harmonies\, we prefer instead to sing in unison\, infusing songs with our own rather unique mix of humour\, movement and the occasional wacky prop.\nSo if you simply love to sing\, but have yet to find the choir that perfectly complements your sense of fun\, why not come along to one of our FREE taster sessions and see what we’re all about.
