This year itโ€™s Wednesday the 3rd July. \nThere are two routes to choose from\, namely a full 5k route and a shorter 2k route (fun run). \nThe 5k River Run and 2k Fun Run follow a largely traffic free multi-terrain route along the banks of the River Avon\, starting and finishing in Monkton Park\, near the Olympiad Leisure Centre. There is a mixture of compacted field/grass\, gravel and paved road/path. \nThe River Run is a great community event which attracts people of all abilities and ages. The 5k distance means that it is ideal for the beginners and the inclusion of the Fun Run makes it the perfect summer evening event for families. The 5k is open to anyone aged 13 and over and the Fun Run is for 4 โ€“ 14 year olds. \nPrizes in age categories for both races. All Fun Run finishers receive a medal. \nTypical start times are Fun Run at 6:30pm and River Run at 7.30pm.
