It’ll be a fun hour of creativity and information that might just change your life\, if not\, it’ll certainly make your day more fun.\nAs part of the Teen Takeover weekend\, the fantastic Christian Foley will be hosting a Hip-hop poetry workshop at Chippenham Library. \nA writer\, rapper and a teacher – all at once\, Christian’s interactive freestyles and improvised performances have been lauded by stars like 50 Cent\, and the creator of the musical Hamilton\, as well as FIFA. Having gone viral multiple times\, he’s a regular on television and radio\, amassing over thirty million views worldwide. \nChristian is one of the few poets in the world selected to complete a ‘Spoken Word Education Programme’ and Teaching MA at Goldsmiths University\, an opportunity which was created to transform professional poets into specialised facilitators. Over the last decade\, Christian has worked with thousands of children\, and hundreds of teachers every year\, visiting primary and secondary schools and delivering workshops for staff and students. \nThis is a fantastic opportunity for young people passionate about writing and performance – not to be missed! DESCRIPTION:Why don’t you kick off your morning of the Teen Takeover weekend with a brisk 5k!! \nChippenham Parkrun is a FREE weekly 5km event for runners of all standards\, which takes place every Saturday at 9am in Monkton Park\, Chippenham\, Wiltshire. Meet: 8:50am at the Multi-use Games Area in Monkton Park \nThe course is run on a mixture of trail paths\, tarmac paths and gravel paths. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud\, leaves and puddles after rain. \nIt offers an opportunity for all the local community\, regardless of age or gender\, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the outdoors and get physically active. DESCRIPTION:There’s more to the world of street art than Banksy – Hidden Canvases is a beginner’s guide to the biggest art movement since pop art.  \nDoug Gillen is the man behind Fifth Wall TV\, a London based production channel\, and digital platform that investigates all aspects of graffiti and street art. Originally from Scotland. He created Fifth Wall TV six years ago\, and he’s been filming and talking about the world of street art and graffiti ever since. DESCRIPTION:Returning to school after the summer holidays can be a daunting prospect for many.\nIt can cause stress\, anxiety and unease. \nPerhaps your child is moving up to a secondary school.\nPerhaps they are moving to a different school.\nPerhaps your child is sensitive to change and finds it difficult to deal with.\nPerhaps their experience of being at school is not always enjoyable.\nPerhaps they just need a space in which they can re-charge and re-set their mind for the new school year. \nI understand how stressful and demanding the transition can be both for children and parents. \nThis summer I’d like to help you make the experience a bit easier\, smoother and less stressful. \nThat’s why we’ve decided to hold a mindfulness and meditation workshop. \nWhat would it be like to spend 2 hours in a space in which your child can totally relax\, escape their worries\, be free of anxiety and stress ? \nWhat would it be like for you and your child to spend 2 hours exploring your ability to find peace through fun mindful activities and games\, through listening to soothing sounds and a guided visualisation? \nWhat would it be like to learn techniques which can help you and your children ease their anxiety helping them manage their return to school better? \nWhat would it feel like to be with your child\, be truly present with them and create genuine connection for you so that you can support them during the transition back to school and beyond? \nOur mindfulness and meditation workshop for parents and children offers just that. \nI’m Katerina\, founder of MindCraft\, and at the very end of the summer holidays I bring you a unique workshop for children and their parents.
