DESCRIPTION:Work with professional Theatre Director and writer\, Marnie Forbes-Eldridge. Whether you have already tried acting or directing\, or whether you just want to give it a go\, all levels of experience are welcome. \nWarm up and get to know each other from 11am; free pizza at 12pm; masterclass from 1pm \nMarnie is a professional Theatre Director\, Writer and Storyteller. Having trained in Body Aware\, Mask\, Japanese and Chinese Theatre\, as an actor and director\, Marnie uses the body and text to tell a story. She uses her work in the Arts as a Creative Facilitator and has worked for Theatres throughout the British Isles – Salisbury Playhouse\, The Everyman\, Cheltenham and The Roses Tewkesbury. She has worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and Prime Theatre. Directing and using drama skills is part of what she does and her work with RADA has been used for communication and confidence projects. \nYou will gain experience of professional working methods and tools to use in your own acting work.

SUMMARY:Chippenham Christmas Island & Festive Fringe
DESCRIPTION:For the fourth year running\, come and experience the banks of the River Avon spectacularly lit up\, bringing some wonderful Christmas cheer into the heart of Chippenham. Situated within it’s usual spot of The Island in Monkton Park\, the event will once more feature a full roster of live\, festive entertainment. \nThe trail will be open Thursday 28th November – Sunday 1st December (inclusive). \nWith family friendly activities\, workshops and performances throughout the afternoon\, leading on to more adult based evening entertainment. Showcasing live Music and Comedy from some excellent musicians and comedians\, to Film Screenings\, Festive Workshops\, Artisan Market stall traders and even a live Brass Band playing Christmas Carols by Candlelight! \nThe event is funded by Chippenham Town Council in collaboration with Melt Productions and is a completely free experience for the local community and surrounding areas to enjoy. \nAll seating will be allocated on a first come\, first serve basis\, so please ensure you arrive nice and early if you are keen to watch any of the live shows and entertainment. \nThis years’ focal point will once again be the beautiful wooden Roundhouse\, a cosy\, heated wooden structure serving up delicious hot and cold drinks and tasty food from local vendors. DESCRIPTION:We’re back!\nFor ages 13+ – you can do art and design or acting improvisation\nDelivered in 10 week blocks \nFor 13-17yrs: 5.30pm – 7pm at St Pauls Church Hall\, Malmesbury Rd\, Chippenham \nTerm 1: September 18th – October 16th 2024 / November 6th – December 4th 2024 \nTerm 2: January 8th 2025 – Feb 5th 2025 / Feb 26th March 2025 \nTerm 3: April 23rd – May 21st/ June 4th – July 2nd 2025 \nWe won’t be doing shows during these sessions – but honing our improvisation skills and maybe doing a gig to a paying audience\, for those who want to take this leap. \nTaught by professional actor Jim Coupland and workshop assistant Izzy Perkins. DESCRIPTION: Great opportunity for neurodiverse young people \n A set of cassettes tapes from the 1980s which haven’t been accessible for many years have just been digitised as part of the Sounds of the South West project. \n Be the first to find out the content in these oral histories\, become skilled in the technical aspects of working with audio material\, get creative using the contents as a starting point\, with the chance to be mentored by experienced practitioners who will support you every step of the way. \n You’ll be able to create something special to share with others\, learn new skills\, have fun\, and maybe make some new friends. Come and enjoy spending time in a calm\, accepting and welcoming environment. \nJoin the sessions in person or online if you’d prefer. \nThe project will run every Thursday from 10.15am-3pm from 20th March to 22nd May. DESCRIPTION: Great opportunity for neurodiverse young people \n A set of cassettes tapes from the 1980s which haven’t been accessible for many years have just been digitised as part of the Sounds of the South West project. \n Be the first to find out the content in these oral histories\, become skilled in the technical aspects of working with audio material\, get creative using the contents as a starting point\, with the chance to be mentored by experienced practitioners who will support you every step of the way. \n You’ll be able to create something special to share with others\, learn new skills\, have fun\, and maybe make some new friends. Come and enjoy spending time in a calm\, accepting and welcoming environment. \nJoin the sessions in person or online if you’d prefer. \nThe project will run every Thursday from 10.15am-3pm from 20th March to 22nd May.
