DESCRIPTION:We’ve got a great line-up of entertainment lined up for you at our Christmas Light Switch On on Saturday 30 November! \nThere are some names you will recognise from previous events\, such as singer Robbie Culley\, 5 piece band Switch\, Wiltshire Police Band and local youth am-dram group CLOGS Musical Theatre CLOGettes alongside interactive walkabout entertainment and children’s creative activities. \nThe festivities will conclude with the traditional abseiling Santa and the countdown to the switch-on at 4.55pm. \nMain Stage\n🎄12 noon – 12.45pm Robbie Culley\n🎄1.30pm – 2.15pm CLOGettes\n🎄2.15pm – 3.15pm Switch\n🎄4.30pm – 5.30pm Switch \nOutside the Town Hall\n🎄12.45pm – 1.30pm Robbie Culley \nMarket Place\n🎄3.15pm – 4.30pm Wiltshire Police Band \nAnd at the Roundhouse on Christmas Island\, as part of the Christmas Fringe programme run by Melt Productions\, there will also be some later evening entertainment: \nRoundhouse\n🎄7pm – 8pm Spitz & Co Present… ‘Elvis On Christmas Island’\n🎄8.30pm – 10pm Live Music from Bradley Cowtan \nChippenham Christmas Island will be open from Thursday 28th November – Sunday 1st December\, with family friendly activities in the day and an adult evening programme. \nFind out more details and view the full programme on the Chippenham Town Council website here.

SUMMARY:Chippenham Christmas Island & Festive Fringe
DESCRIPTION:For the fourth year running\, come and experience the banks of the River Avon spectacularly lit up\, bringing some wonderful Christmas cheer into the heart of Chippenham. Situated within it’s usual spot of The Island in Monkton Park\, the event will once more feature a full roster of live\, festive entertainment. \nThe trail will be open Thursday 28th November – Sunday 1st December (inclusive). \nWith family friendly activities\, workshops and performances throughout the afternoon\, leading on to more adult based evening entertainment. Showcasing live Music and Comedy from some excellent musicians and comedians\, to Film Screenings\, Festive Workshops\, Artisan Market stall traders and even a live Brass Band playing Christmas Carols by Candlelight! \nThe event is funded by Chippenham Town Council in collaboration with Melt Productions and is a completely free experience for the local community and surrounding areas to enjoy. \nAll seating will be allocated on a first come\, first serve basis\, so please ensure you arrive nice and early if you are keen to watch any of the live shows and entertainment. \nThis years’ focal point will once again be the beautiful wooden Roundhouse\, a cosy\, heated wooden structure serving up delicious hot and cold drinks and tasty food from local vendors.
