DESCRIPTION:‘My favourite time of the week’ \nA chance to indulge\, draw and to practice some essential drawing skills in a beautiful environment\, guided by someone with over 25 years teaching experience. You’ll use a diverse range of styles and techniques that stretch you and keep you motivated to improve. \nAll while enjoying fresh coffee and meeting some other lovely local artists. \nLife Drawing is challenging and rewarding\, but like drawing anything else\, it takes practice and patience. \nThe best way to encourage practice is to vary the media and techniques available; to make sure this is feasible\, we provide materials (donations welcome) This also allows more confidence as using expensive personal materials tends to inhibit experimentation. \nSometimes the session is devoted to a worksheet-style drawing\, using many poses on one sheet in different materials. These are a great opportunity to gain confidence in composition\, materials and mark-making. \n£105 for 6 x 2 hour session term or £20 cash drop-in option (just for our life drawing sessions) \nWe look forward to meeting you soon.

DESCRIPTION:Art & Design sessions for 13-17 year olds in 10 week blocks. \nFollowing on from our brilliant year of designing for the Mayor’s Ball\, and creating a beautiful colour wall for Chippenham Library\, we’re ready to go again and create more original art work to adorn our lovely town. \nTaught by experienced local artist and set designer\, Charlie\, supported by local seamstress\, TA and artist Lottie Bywaters. \nListening to music and trying out each other’s ideas while having a cup of tea and a biscuit is all part of the experience. \nTerm 1: September 17th – October 15th/ November 5th – Dec 3rd 2025 (Followed by Youth Club)\nTerm 2: January 7th – Feb 4th 2026/Feb 25th – March 25th 2026 (Followed by Youth Club)\nTerm 3: April 15th – May 13th / June 3rd – July 1st 2026 \nCome and join us to meet other lovely creatives in the artisan quarter of Chippenham. \nSubsidised by Wiltshire Council’s Chippenham Area board and Kington Langley Arts Society. DESCRIPTION:For our next Collection Conversation\, we will be joined by Ione Parkin and Jonathan Parnham. \nIone Parkin is developing a growing body of artwork inspired by the rich imagery of space and her ongoing dialogue with researchers. Her paintings express her fascination with the formation of the universe while her mixed-media works on paper respond to planetary surfaces\, extremes of temperature and geological process. \nJonathan Parnham is an art educator and artist living in Wiltshire. Painting on location\, to capture the atmosphere of each environment that he discovers\, is a vital component of Jonathan’s.
