DESCRIPTION:Pull on your walking boots for Alzheimer’s Support’s A Walk to Remember – back for its third year at Bowood on Sunday 22nd June. \nThe sponsored walk is a circular seven-miles through some of North Wiltshire’s loveliest countryside\, starting and finishing at the estate. We start with bacon/veggie butties and a fun group warm-up\, and the post-walk celebrations include a finish line welcome from Chippenham Brass Band\, a commemorative photo and medal\, plus plenty of tea and cake. \nA Walk to Remember is a lovely day out for the whole family\, and an important fundraiser for Wiltshire’s own dementia charity which support more than 2\,000 people in Wiltshire.\nEveryone walks at their own pace\, and part of the fun is the community spirit of joining in with others in a good cause. \nPlease join us!

DESCRIPTION:Corsham Walking Festival 13th -15th June 2025 \nVisit this historic Wiltshire market town on the fringe of the Cotswolds National Landscape on this our 11th Walking Festival\, that shows the very best that North West Wiltshire has to offer. \nOur popular Walking Festival will have nineteen walks exploring the local and surrounding picturesque towns\, villages\, and countryside. \nWalk themes capture the industrial and rural heritage of the area including Neston Estate\, Hidden Quarries\, Historic Mills of the By Brook\, Ancient Parishes\, and Manor Houses. Plus\, a wildflower and wildlife walk and one ‘All About Trees’. \nLonger routes include the Pretty Village of North West Wiltshire\, Biddestone\, Castle Combe\, Colerne and Box. DESCRIPTION:Seven-mile charity walk for Alzheimer’s Support and a great day out for the whole family! \nPull on your walking boots and take part in A Walk to Remember on Saturday 8th June. \nIt’s a circular seven-miles through some of North Wiltshire’s loveliest countryside starting and finishing at Bowood Estate at the kind permission of the charity’s patron Lady Lansdowne. \nThe day starts with bacon or veggie butties then\, after a fun group warm-up\, we head out into the beautiful north Wiltshire countryside. Everyone walks at their own pace. You can walk with others\, stride ahead or do your own thing. There are plenty of great views and scenic places to stop for a picnic along the way. And marshals will be on hand to make sure you find your way. \nBack at the estate\, our post-walk celebrations include medals for all the finishers\, commemorative photos\, plenty of tea and cake and chance to relax with other walkers. \nPlease sign up and join us in June – you’ll have a great day out and be walking for dementia with every step.

SUMMARY:Walk Maud Heath's Causeway with Get Wiltshire Walking
DESCRIPTION:The walk is going to be led by the experienced team from Get Wiltshire Walking and there are three different walk lengths. \nEveryone will meet at 9.30am on the corner of Langley Road and Foundry Lane in Chippenham\, where the stone marks the end of Maud Heath’s Causeway. \nThe shortest walk will stop at Langley Burrell Village Hall and return to the start point. This is approximately 3 miles long. \nThe second walk will go all the way to the Moravian Church in East Tytherton and back to Chippenham. This is approximately 7.5 miles long. \nFinally\, the longest walk will go all the way to the start of the causeway at the top of Wick Hill and back into Chippenham. This walk is just shy of 10 miles. \nThere will be tea\, coffee\, cake and toilets at Langley Burrell Village Hall and The Moravian Church in East Tytherton* (*Whilst the Moravian Church does not have a public toilet\, for walkers who are desperate the Minister has said they can use hers). \nPlease make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather (we will update you nearer the time) and shoes for walking. Bring water and a packed lunch if you are taking part in the longer walks. \nThis walk is free to attend but please book your place in advance by emailing:-  emily@yesterdaysstory.co.uk
