If you’re keen and able\, you’ll be asked to join our Saturday Theatre Company to work with the adults. \nTaught by professional actor Rebecca Osborne. Come along and learn how to think on your feet\, respond and listen and make up scenes using just your brilliant mind and spontaneous ideas. \nDo the first session before paying if you like – just click ‘Book Now’ above and choose ‘Trial Session’. \nSubsidised by Wiltshire Councils Chippenham Area board . SUMMARY:World Singing Day 2025 workshop
DESCRIPTION:Originally founded in 2012\, World Singing Day aims to bring people together in their communities all around the globe through the simple act of singing. \nAnyone and everyone is welcome to join our Sparkly Lite lunchtime group for this FREE one-hour workshop\, where we’ll be learning the specially-commissioned Song of the Year for 2025 – ‘All of us’ – written by the World Singing Day’s founder\, Scott Johnson. \nNo previous singing experience is necessary and there’s no need to book – simply come along and join us on the day. \nLyrics can be downloaded in advance or simply collected at the venue upon arrival. \nPLEASE NOTE: The finale of this event will be filmed and may be shared on the Sparkly Singers’ Facebook page and YouTube channel. Red\, white and blue clothing and accessories are very much encouraged!

DESCRIPTION:Come along and try body percussion – use junk objects ( brooms and dustbin lids)\, to make a great sound with the expert tuition of someone who toured the world doing just that! It’s physical\, fun and LOUD. \nCarl Smith. Musician\, percussionist\, and founder of CARL SMITH’S STOMP WORKSHOPS is one of the founder members/writers/performers of STOMP. Carl has toured the world with the sell-out show and was Artistic Director of the New York Company\, which has recently celebrated over two and a half decades of ‘Off Broadway’ success. He performed at the Oscars\, Grammys and recorded with Quincy Jones on the album ‘Q’s Jook Joint’. He has extensive global experience in giving workshops suited to all. \nCome and have a go!
