SUMMARY:Mark Making - Movement and Drawing
DESCRIPTION:A relaxed and not-scary block of 5 classes exploring movement and mark-making; what happens on the paper if the marks aren’t solely relying on the eyes to observe? How can our bodies explore dance in tandem with a mark-maker? And other curiosities! \nGeorgie has many years of dance experience in community and professional settings and has been moving and marking throughout. Kim is a highly skilled creative and has an embodied drawing practice. We will lead you in a gentle and collaborative way through some playful exercises. This is an open class with choice throughout – get in touch if you have any questions or specific needs you want to discuss with us.

DESCRIPTION:For ages 12+\nYou can do art and design or acting improvisation \nDelivered in 10 week blocks \nTerm 1: September 17th – October 15th/ November 5th – Dec 3rd 2025 (Followed by Youth Club)\nTerm 2: January 7th – Feb 4th 2026/Feb 25th – March 25th 2026 (Followed by Youth Club)\nTerm 3: April 15th – May 13th / June 3rd – July 1st 2026 \nWe won’t be doing shows in this session\, but honing our improvisation skills and maybe doing a gig to a paying audience\, for those who want to take this leap. If you’re keen and able\, you’ll be asked to join our Saturday Theatre Company to work with the adults. \nTaught by professional actor Rebecca Osborne. SUMMARY:Intro to Public Speaking
DESCRIPTION:This day-workshop is a hands-on\, confidence-building opportunity to explore speaking and presenting skills: from voice to mindset to communication. \nIn the morning we will explore techniques for voice\, breath & body\, unlock words and language & understand non-verbal communication. \nIn the afternoon we will work on speech exercises\, and take this into practising a simple\, individual speech-extract. You can work on your own speech (should you have one) or choose from a range of texts (shared in advance). There will be small-group and whole-group practise\, with expert guidance from Helen and friendly feedback from participants. You will take away a Workbook of the key tools and exercises.
