SUMMARY:Mark Making - Movement and Drawing
DESCRIPTION:A relaxed and not-scary block of 5 classes exploring movement and mark-making; what happens on the paper if the marks aren’t solely relying on the eyes to observe? How can our bodies explore dance in tandem with a mark-maker? And other curiosities! \nGeorgie has many years of dance experience in community and professional settings and has been moving and marking throughout. Kim is a highly skilled creative and has an embodied drawing practice. We will lead you in a gentle and collaborative way through some playful exercises. This is an open class with choice throughout – get in touch if you have any questions or specific needs you want to discuss with us.

DESCRIPTION:For ages 12+\nYou can do art and design or acting improvisation \nDelivered in 10 week blocks \nTerm 1: September 17th – October 15th/ November 5th – Dec 3rd 2025 (Followed by Youth Club)\nTerm 2: January 7th – Feb 4th 2026/Feb 25th – March 25th 2026 (Followed by Youth Club)\nTerm 3: April 15th – May 13th / June 3rd – July 1st 2026 \nWe won’t be doing shows in this session\, but honing our improvisation skills and maybe doing a gig to a paying audience\, for those who want to take this leap. If you’re keen and able\, you’ll be asked to join our Saturday Theatre Company to work with the adults. \nTaught by professional actor Rebecca Osborne. SUMMARY:Escape Into Landscapes Watercolour Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join me for a relaxed\, creative afternoon of painting your dream landscape! \nWhether it’s rolling hills sprinkled with wildflowers\, a serene lakeside sunset\, a whimsical forest path\, or a view from your favourite holiday spot\, the choice is yours. \nI’ll take you through the basic techniques of watercolour painting\, then guide you through each stage\, from sketching and colour mixing to adding those magical finishing touches that bring your scene to life. You’ll head home with your own painting\, plus a booklet of tips and inspiration to keep you painting. \nAll materials (and plenty of encouragement) are provided and all levels are welcome\, whether you’re an art enthusiast or have never picked up a paintbrush before. No experience needed\, just a love of nature and creativity! \nThe only thing you’ll need to bring is the picture you’d like to paint! This can be a printed image or a photo on your phone (or you can paint from your imagination if you’re feeling brave!). \nWe’ll have exclusive use of The Waverley’s spacious main upstairs room\, and a complimentary drink of your choice is included in your ticket. \nSpaces are limited so booking in advance is essential.
