DESCRIPTION:Part of Chippenham Folk Festival’s youth festival\, but open to all 11-17s across the area. \nFolk arts specialists Shooting Roots travel folk festivals across the country\, a organisation of young people working with teens to have fun together\, learn new skills\, explore folk arts and make new friends. \nIn the drama workshops\, there’ll be games like Splat\, Danish Clapping\, Frog on a Log and Zip Zap Boing\, and the chance to create and devise scenes\, skits and vignettes – the zanier the better. At similar workshops at Sidmouth Folk Festival\, aliens invaded and were taught to morris dance – so literally anything could happen at Chippenham. \nWith three workshops across the weekend\, participants will work together to build an original performance to showcase on the festival’s Community Stage on Monday afternoon. \nEither pay £3 on the door\, or purchase a £25 youth ticket to the festival\, which allows access to all Chippenham Folk Festival’s exclusive youth events for 11-17 year olds as well as the rest of the festival – all ceilidhs\, dances\, concerts\, workshops across the weekend.

DESCRIPTION:This May Half Term\, get ready for some of our most popular family activities! \nRocket Powered Workshops – Tuesday 26 May\nDrop-in sessions\, Education Suite\nDesign and launch your own bottle rocket or air powered car\, using the same principles of engineering in rocket science! \nLEGO® Engineering Workshops – Wednesday 27 May\nPre-bookable sessions\, Education Suite\nUnleash your inner engineer and build a vehicle from LEGO® that will actually drive!\nLEGO® Engineering Workshop booking will open within a week of Half Term. \n‘Build a Tank’ Junk Modelling – Thursday 28 May\nDrop-in sessions\, Education Suite\nCome and create your own special REME-inspired vehicle to take away with you! Get creative and see what you can make from recycled materials. The only limit is your imagination! \nMiniature Assault Course – Every day Tuesday – Thursday\, 10.00 – 15.00 (weather permitting)\nTake on our miniature army-style assault course! Supervised by serving soldiers\, will your young explorers make it to the top of the leaderboard? \nIncluded in museum entry fee.\nIf you are planning to visit as a Holiday Club or similar group\, please contact us to arrange a special booking.
