Meet: 8:50am at the Multi-use Games Area in Monkton Park \nThe course is run on a mixture of trail paths\, tarmac paths and gravel paths. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud\, leaves and puddles after rain. \nIt offers an opportunity for all the local community\, regardless of age or gender\, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the outdoors and get physically active. It’ll be a fun hour of creativity and information that might just change your life\, if not\, it’ll certainly make your day more fun.\nAs part of the Teen Takeover weekend\, the fantastic Christian Foley will be hosting a Hip-hop poetry workshop at Chippenham Library. \nA writer\, rapper and a teacher – all at once\, Christian’s interactive freestyles and improvised performances have been lauded by stars like 50 Cent\, and the creator of the musical Hamilton\, as well as FIFA. Having gone viral multiple times\, he’s a regular on television and radio\, amassing over thirty million views worldwide. \nChristian is one of the few poets in the world selected to complete a ‘Spoken Word Education Programme’ and Teaching MA at Goldsmiths University\, an opportunity which was created to transform professional poets into specialised facilitators. Over the last decade\, Christian has worked with thousands of children\, and hundreds of teachers every year\, visiting primary and secondary schools and delivering workshops for staff and students. \nThis is a fantastic opportunity for young people passionate about writing and performance – not to be missed! DESCRIPTION:We’re back! \nWe’ve moved to St Pauls Church Hall\, Malmesbury Rd Chippenham \nWednesdays 5.30pm – 7pm in 10 week block \nFor 13-17yrs: \nFollowing on from our last brilliant year of designing for the Mayors Ball\, and creating a beautiful Colourwall for Chippenham Library\, we’re ready to go again and create more original art work to adorn our lovely town. SUMMARY:Chippenham Christmas Island & Festive Fringe
DESCRIPTION:For the fourth year running\, come and experience the banks of the River Avon spectacularly lit up\, bringing some wonderful Christmas cheer into the heart of Chippenham. Situated within it’s usual spot of The Island in Monkton Park\, the event will once more feature a full roster of live\, festive entertainment. \nThe trail will be open Thursday 28th November – Sunday 1st December (inclusive). \nWith family friendly activities\, workshops and performances throughout the afternoon\, leading on to more adult based evening entertainment. Showcasing live Music and Comedy from some excellent musicians and comedians\, to Film Screenings\, Festive Workshops\, Artisan Market stall traders and even a live Brass Band playing Christmas Carols by Candlelight! \nThe event is funded by Chippenham Town Council in collaboration with Melt Productions and is a completely free experience for the local community and surrounding areas to enjoy. \nAll seating will be allocated on a first come\, first serve basis\, so please ensure you arrive nice and early if you are keen to watch any of the live shows and entertainment. \nThis years’ focal point will once again be the beautiful wooden Roundhouse\, a cosy\, heated wooden structure serving up delicious hot and cold drinks and tasty food from local vendors. DESCRIPTION:We’re SO excited to be welcoming lots of new pupils\, tutors\, and schools to Little Voices this year – 2025 is going to be BIGGER and better than ever! \nWe have recently launched at Pewsham Community Centre on Tuesdays\, term time and have a selection of lessons available for ages 4-18yrs (school age) \nWe would love to welcome you along to join us for a free trial lesson\, and for us to be a big part of Pewsham community – helping children find their voices\, learn new skills and make new friends\, having fun along the way. \nHoliday workshops may be in the offing too if weekly lessons don’t suit your current timetables.
