DESCRIPTION:The Rotary Club of Chippenham is once again organising their traditional Christmas Extravaganza Concert\, it will be held at the beautiful venue of St Andrew’s Church\, Market Place\, Chippenham SN15 3HT. This year the musical celebration will be held on Saturday 10th December\, starting at 7.30 pm. \nFor the event we will welcome back the local Military Wives Choir and the Dodington Parish Band. We had an entertaining evening last year and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the music\, singing and the atmosphere. During the interval there will be tea\, coffee\, soft drinks\, and cakes on sale\, plus a selection of wines will be available. \nIf you would like to come along\, please book your tickets as soon as possible\, as it is anticipated that\, due to the seasonal timing\, and also the fact that we have a well-known local choir and band\, this annual event could once again be a sell-out.. \nTickets for the event are available now\, at just £10.00 each from Stuart Gilbert at Platinum Mortgages on 07879 440064. \nThe monies raised will be divided between a number of local and international charities which the Rotary Club supports. \nWe would love to see you there and please bring your friends to share the evening and festive spirit! \nSeason’s greetings

DESCRIPTION:This training aims to help non-paid carers supporting a loved one with lived experience of mental health problems. \nBeing a non-paid carer can take many forms\, you might be a friend\, family member\, neighbour\, partner\, peer\, or colleague. You might provide practical\, emotional support\, or both. In fact\, anyone could be a carer – a student supporting a housemate with early signs of an eating disorder\, a family member supporting their brother-in law with depression\, or a husband supporting his wife with complex PTSD. \nTraining delivered over 4 sessions\, covering the following topics: \n1. Understanding mental health challenges – An opportunity to explore what it can be like to experience mental health challenges and how mental health needs impact on people’s behaviour.\n2. Support people with mental health needs to make changes – To explore some of the challenges of supporting people to make changes and introduce some techniques for working with change.\n3. Conflict and crisis – Reducing and managing conflict and crises with the person you support.\n4. Learning\, reflecting and support – To be better able to establish clear boundaries\, positive communication and relationships. \nFunded by BANES\, Swindon & Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BSW CCG). \n“Caring for someone with mental health problems can often be challenging.
