Hosted by Clothes Swap Chippenham – fundraising for Pride in Chippenham. \nHow does a Clothes Swap work? \n\ndive into your wardrobe and dig out any clothes in good\, clean condition\, and bring them to the swap.\nwhen you arrive\, hand your items over to our staff who will sort them\ngrab a seat downstairs\, and a drink/snack from the venue\, – this venue has been kindly given to us for free for this event\, so be sure to help us give back by grabbing a drink\, etc\npay your £5 entry fee; this goes directly to our designated local charity for this event\nbrowse and swap from our chosen stalls\, whilst our volunteers sort the clothing items\nwhen the staff are ready\, we will introduce the event and then you are free to browse through the clothes\ntake home as many items as you feel is fair\n\nFAQs \nWhat will be there? \n\nWe will have clothes as well as shoes and accessories. For hygiene reasons we don’t accept underwear\, socks or swimming costumes.\n\nWhat if I don’t find something I like? \n\nWe often have sizes 8-38 attend and end up with such a great deal of items each time\, so there will likely be something for you.\n\nWhy isn’t it swap-for-swap/item for item? \n\nWe have so many items come through the doors\, if we did swap for swap\, we’d have too many items left over at the end! We ask people take for themselves only but to feel free to take as much as they feel is fair – you can always bring the item back to the next Clothes Swap event if it doesn’t work out!\n\nDon’t people take loads of stuff? Are people grabby or rude? \n\nOur seasoned swappers are kind\, friendly and polite\, and we ask all those attending to be the same. DESCRIPTION:Set during the 1992–1993 War in Abkhazia\, Tangerines is a 2013 Estonian-Georgian film written\, produced\, and directed by Zaza Urushadze. \nSet in a rural village in a Russian-backed separatist region in the newly independent Georgia\, Ivo and his friend Margus are the only two\, of their once large community\, who have not fled the war\, so they can harvest the lucrative tangerine crop. \nTragically\, despite their best efforts to avoid the surrounding conflict\, the war quickly finds Ivo and Margus. \nTangerines is a brilliant exploration of conflict and war\, reconciliation\, and pacifism\, and was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film award at the 87th Academy Awards and the 72nd Golden Globe Awards.

It has won awards and toured extensively across the UK and in Denmark. She was 2024 Writer in Residence at Bristol Old Vic and has recently written plays for the National Theatre\, Bristol Old Vic\, Trowbridge Town Hall and Restoke.

Through practical exercises\, they’ll learn about different types of lighting\, how to shape mood and atmosphere\, and the role of colour\, angles\, and intensity. Participants will get the chance to experiment with lighting equipment\, create their own lighting states\, and gain an understanding of how lighting designers bring productions to life. No prior experience needed—just creativity and curiosity. \nLuke John Emmett is an award-winning Lighting Designer (Wizard of Oz – 2015)\, freelance Technical Manager\, and Event Manager based in Bath\, with twenty years of experience in the live entertainment industry. He founded Theatre Bath and led the conversion of a single-decker bus into a mobile theatre\, the Theatre Bath Bus. \nHe has worked on a variety of high-profile events\, including a press launch for Alicia Keys\, a global conference for Pinterest\, and live streams for English Heritage and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (UK Parliament). Locally\, he Production Managed Theatre on the Downs for the Wardrobe Ensemble and Produced Forest of Imagination for two years.

It’s all about having fun and singing in the afternoon! \nMatt runs 4 popular Good Afternoon Community Choirs every week and loves the fun of singing together and making amazing music during the afternoons.  Matt lives in Bath where he is well-known as Musical Director of the Bath Light Operatic Group\, you may well have attended one of their wonderful shows at the Bath Theatre Royal in years past.  All Good Afternoon Choir members enjoy singing Matt’s very special arrangements\, especially at the Big Sings when all the Good Afternoon Choirs join together to sing in one venue. \nA warm welcome awaits any new members\, there are NO auditions and everyone is welcome!  There is no charge for attending your first rehearsal.   Come alone or with a friend – either way Matt and the Choir will be pleased to meet you.  You will be joining over 1\,000 people singing at Good Afternoon Choirs around the South West and beyond! \nMembership forms are available to collect at every rehearsal.  The choir rehearsals are in 4 terms of 10 weeks and members pay £58 per term – this covers room and piano hire\, music\, admin and musician fees.  You do not need to join at the start of a term\, you can simply come along to any rehearsal and pick up a membership form should you wish to join the choir – your fee will then be worked out for the remainder of that term. \nIf you have any questions about the Choir please contact Tracey or Karin via email gac@grenvillemusic.co.uk or tel 01761 472468. \n

DESCRIPTION: Great opportunity for neurodiverse young people \n A set of cassettes tapes from the 1980s which haven’t been accessible for many years have just been digitised as part of the Sounds of the South West project. \n Be the first to find out the content in these oral histories\, become skilled in the technical aspects of working with audio material\, get creative using the contents as a starting point\, with the chance to be mentored by experienced practitioners who will support you every step of the way. \n You’ll be able to create something special to share with others\, learn new skills\, have fun\, and maybe make some new friends.
