Visitors can enjoy works by nationally recognised artists including Howard Hodgkin\, Clifford & Rosemary Ellis and Anish Kapoor. An exhibition catalogue is soon to be available from the museum and online shop\, supported by the Arts Society (Kington Langley). \n\nThe exhibition runs from 8th January – 2nd April\, 2022 (excluding Sundays)\n10am-4pm daily Monday to Saturday\n10am -7pm at special Museum Lates openings once a month on Thursday evenings: 13 January\, 3 February and 3 March.

SUMMARY:The Festival of Christmas launch day
DESCRIPTION:“The Festival of Christmas” is a series of events in Chippenham celebrating all things festive running from Sunday 28th November until Sunday 19th December. \nThe launch day takes place on Sunday 28 November\, when Chippenham Town Centre will be full of fun and free entertainment between 10am – 7pm\, bringing the community together safely to enjoy a range of activities including: \nLantern Making Workshops and Glitter-Glo Face Paintingat the Town Hall\, 11am-4pm \nFire Performers in the Market Place\, at intervals between 4pm-6pm \nFestive Stilt-walkers on the High Street\, at intervals between 10am-4pm \nSnow Globe Photo Experience in Borough Parade\, 9am-6pm \nMeet Santa at the Yelde Hall\, 10am-6pm (SOLD OUT) \nIn addition to the events above\, the High Street will host a festive Artisan Market between 10am-7pm. There will be over 30 stalls to visit and enjoy across the day including artisan cider\, mulled wine\, and roasted chestnuts as well as\, handmade gifts\, and baked goods. \nA small community stage will also feature in Market Place where the Christmas Tree can be found. The stage will feature a variety of local acts between 11am – 6pm including Corsham and Colerne Military Wives Choir\, Chippenham’s Dancing Academy\, Ministry of Samba\, Rock Choir: Trowbridge\, Frome\, Warminster/Westbury and Chippenham\, CLOGG’s Musical Theatre. \nThe Christmas lights will be switched on at  5pm however\, to reduce the risk of mass gathering there won’t be an official countdown\, or switch on this year. \n \n

DESCRIPTION:A walk starting from the upper car park at Castle Combe\, which then passes through some lovely countryside on our way to the village of Ford via Long Dean. \nWe then head to North Wraxall\, on to Nettleton Mill House. then the Castle Combe golf course and back to the cars. Two sessions giving tips and techniques for taking great photos on whatever camera you have\, including a mobile phone\, with Photoclub leader Kez. \nAround the Museum: 10.30am – 12pm book here \nTake part in a photography challenge hunting around the museum for the best objects to photograph. \n \nMuseum Objects: 1.30pm – 3.30pm book here \nJoin us as we handle and photograph a collection of museum objects. Learn about their history and how to photograph the object in a professional setting. \n \n\nThe museum’s afterschool Photoclub for ages 11 – 17 meets on Wednesdays in term-time 4.30 – 5.30\, £6 per session. The club aims to improve self-expression and motivation\, focusing on activities to help mental health and wellbeing while capturing great images and having fun.
