DESCRIPTION:Join me for a relaxed\, creative afternoon of painting your very own Christmas card design\, with the option to have it turned into printed cards afterwards (see below for more info)! \nIn this workshop\, you’ll learn the techniques of watercolour painting while creating your own Christmas card design. You’ll receive a printed copy of my Introduction to Watercolour booklet\, full of tips and guidance to help you continue your painting after the workshop. \nYou can choose any subject you like for your design\, and I’ll be there to guide you in creating your own version. Some ideas could be a robin\, wreath\, tree\, stockings\, winter cottage\, baubles\, reindeer\, a festive front door… the possibilities are endless! What do you love seeing on a Christmas card? \nI’d advise having something in mind beforehand and maybe choosing a picture to bring with you to the workshop (printed or on your phone) to use as a reference. \nAll materials and equipment will be provided. We’ll have exclusive use of The Waverley’s downstairs snug room\, a complimentary drink is included with your ticket\, and you’ll also receive a free A5 print of my festive robin illustration as a bonus thank you for attending! \nAll are welcome\, whether you’re an art enthusiast or have never picked up a paintbrush before! DESCRIPTION:Walking Hockey is exactly as the name suggests – you play Hockey while walking – and is perfect for players who are looking for a less physically demanding version of the sport\, but still enjoy participating\, showing their skills and being involved in the team and social aspect of the sport. \nThe game is played on a smaller pitch with lighter balls and rules adapted for safety and accessibility. \nWe operate a weekly social mixed game at 6pm on Monday evenings all year round. Players of all ages and abilities are welcome. There’s always laughter and quite often the chance for a social drink afterwards if you feel like it!

It’s led by artist Fran Young and organised by our experienced community services coordinator Pam Ollis. \nProjects ranging from painting and drawing to collage\, printing\, crafts\, clay modelling and more. We work at a leisurely pace with plenty of time for conversation and connection. No previous experience of art is necessary and everyone works at their own pace. DESCRIPTION:Walking Hockey is exactly as the name suggests – you play Hockey while walking – and is perfect for players who are looking for a less physically demanding version of the sport\, but still enjoy participating\, showing their skills and being involved in the team and social aspect of the sport. \nThe game is played on a smaller pitch with lighter balls and rules adapted for safety and accessibility. \nWe operate a weekly social mixed game at 6pm on Monday evenings all year round. Players of all ages and abilities are welcome. There’s always laughter and quite often the chance for a social drink afterwards if you feel like it!
