DESCRIPTION:Join members of Bath Textile Artists as they discuss their work currently on display in Chippenham Museum’s latest online exhibition Loose Threads. Discover more about the techniques used and the inspiration behind these specially created pieces. \nBooking is essential for this free talk. The talk will take place via Zoom and is approximately 45 minutes followed by the opportunity to ask questions. We don’t want you to miss anything\, please ensure you are familiar with Zoom and join in good time before the talk begins. \nLoose Threads is a celebration of Chippenham’s heritage with creative responses by Bath Textile Artists to the Don Little Collection. A well regarded local figure\, Donald Little bequeathed to Chippenham Museum his vast collection of postcards\, photographs and ephemera relating to the town. \nChippenham Museum is a Chippenham Town Council facility with free entry\, two floors of galleries and level access throughout. When out of lockdown\, the museum is open 10am – 4pm every day except Sunday.

Learn tips and tricks to take more creative and meaningful photographs. Each phone is different so we will cover what features you have on your phone and how to use them. Some of these include\, focus\, panorama\, monochrome\, light painting\, documents\, portrait\, night and flash. \nAfter the workshop you will be able to put your skills into action whether that be taking photographs of your family\, pets or beautiful landscapes you walk to. The workshop is an interactive workshop\, meaning you will have to leave your computer and test out a certain features or techniques with a photography challenge. Don’t worry you can do this from the room you are in. SUMMARY:The Corona Monologues - Radio pieces
DESCRIPTION:Sit back\, grab a cuppa and listen to seven monologues set during lockdown\, performed by Rag and Bone Arts CIC’s adult drama group. \nWe have produced seven very different short pieces\, all around 6-7 minutes long. Listen to them one at a time\, or take the whole hour to indulge and work out if there is any link between the characters. \nThe Corona Monologues were first performed by the group in December over Zoom\, none of them had heard one another’s pieces until the night – when their characters were revealed to each other. Now re-recorded with the benefit of that information\, we are bringing them to your home. \nThe pieces dip in to the strange times we are living in and reflect a breadth of different struggles. DESCRIPTION:Now available to visit online! A celebration of the heritage of Chippenham and the surrounding area\, Loose Threads is a collaborative exhibition between Chippenham Museum and Bath Textile Artists. \nThe exhibition centres on the Don Little Collection. Donald Little lived in Chippenham his entire life and bequeathed to Chippenham Museum his vast collection of postcards\, photographs and ephemera relating to the town. Alongside the collection will be works especially created by the Bath Textile Artists in response to different parts of the collection as diverse as Goss crested china\, World War One postcards and Don’s personal family photographs. View the exhibition on Chippenham Museum’s website here. \nChippenham Museum has launched two online talks and a February half term activity linked to the exhibition – all free to enjoy from home until the museum can re-open again. \nChippenham Museum is a Chippenham Town Council facility. When back open\, the museum is free entry with two floors of galleries and level access throughout.
