We have no auditions and we always welcome new members. DESCRIPTION: Great opportunity for neurodiverse young people \n A set of cassettes tapes from the 1980s which haven’t been accessible for many years have just been digitised as part of the Sounds of the South West project. \n Be the first to find out the content in these oral histories\, become skilled in the technical aspects of working with audio material\, get creative using the contents as a starting point\, with the chance to be mentored by experienced practitioners who will support you every step of the way. \n You’ll be able to create something special to share with others\, learn new skills\, have fun\, and maybe make some new friends. Come and enjoy spending time in a calm\, accepting and welcoming environment. \nJoin the sessions in person or online if you’d prefer. \nThe project will run every Thursday from 10.15am-3pm from 20th March to 22nd May. These sessions are primarily for\, though not limited to\, anyone who has sensory processing disorder; autism; social\, emotional or mental health needs; dementia\, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or any other sensory needs. \nDuring these days we will have: \nLights On – our overhead gallery lighting will be turned on\, without spotlights\, to create a brighter environment in which to explore.\nSounds Down – we will reduce sound effects throughout the museum as much as possible by turning off most ‘surround sound’ interactives and reducing volumes.\nSensory maps – we have marked out any areas around the museum where you may find louder interactives or visual effects that we cannot turn off. SUMMARY:Rag & Bone Arts CIC Stand-up Comedy Workshop with Angie Belcher
DESCRIPTION:Come along and work with: Angie Belcher – comedian and comedy coach \nRun by an award-winning stand-up\, writer and actor\, this workshop focuses on performance confidence\, working with nerves and writing material about your story. You will learn how to use your voice\, body and breathe on stage to bring your funny ideas to life. \nGroup 2 (14-18 or improvers) 11.30am – 1pm\nPizza 1 – 1.30pm\nGroup 1 : (11-13’s or beginners) 1.30pm – 3pm\nYouth Cafe 3 – 4.30pm (Feel free to perform if you wish) \nAngie Belcher is a comedy pioneer\, whose career has evolved from stand up\, acting and performing to award-winning work as a coach and trainer\, teaching comedy to CEO’s and staff at major organisations and delivering ground-breaking workshops through the NHS. She is course leader for stand -up comedy on Circomedia’s BA course in Contemporary Performing Arts\, Writer in Residence for First Story and lectures in comedy at several universities.
